University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is a British university on the sunny island of Cyprus, which has almost a two-hundred-year history: in 1828 the Institute for the Spread of Knowledge was established, which in 1992 received a university status and the name of the University of Central Lancashire. In 2010, the university was recognized as the first modern British university, which entered the world TOP by QS World Rankings 2010 - up to this point they were given only to recognized educational "mastodons" like Cambridge or Oxford. In addition, the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is considered the 6th in the UK for the specialties "Librarianship" and "Information Management" (according to the estimate of the Complete University Guide for 2016).

The UCLan office in Cyprus has two accreditations (other than the general international one):
- British - UK Quality Assurance Agency (QAA)
- Cyprus National - (Evaluation Committee of Private Universities, (ECPU), which is equivalent to the approval of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus.
Thanks to double accreditation, graduate students receive two degrees: British UCLan and Cyprus UCLan Cyprus.
The university campus is located in Pyla, a suburb of one of the busiest and most developed cities of the island - Larnaca, and today it accommodates a little over 1000 students. Currently, 3 faculties (or schools) work on the campus of Cyprus:

All studying is conducted in full in English.

ENGLISH COURSES
Convenient and effective programs for learning English will help in a short time to significantly improve the language and academic level, to prepare for further education at the university and for admission to the university. All the teachers of the program are native speakers of the English language: they have rich experience in teaching foreign students and international groups, work with both classical and universal programs, and prepare students for IELTS and other international tests.
The duration of the program can be from 4 to 16 weeks - the choice depends on the requirements and abilities of the student, his initial level of knowledge (you can choose a course at 4.8 12 or 16 weeks). Each week, students expect 25 general language classes - all language skills are being improved in a complex way:
- Reading
- Auditing (listening comprehension)
- Written speech
- Oral speech, spoken English
- Communication skills
- Phonetics (correct pronunciation, accent correction)
- Grammar
- Vocabulary.
Also, students have the opportunity to choose an intensive version of the classes: time for leisure and entertainment will remain slightly less, but the language progress will be much more intensive, and the classes will be more productive.

Accommodation, meals, prices
For students the university has prepared its own spacious and comfortable residence OCEANIA BAY VILLAGE - this is a truly luxury accommodation, located one and a half kilometers from the beach and in transport accessibility from the university (you can get there in 5 minutes). All rooms include a full set of furniture and household appliances, in a common area there is a spacious outdoor pool (there is also a children's pool and indoor heated water - but the latter only in the winter season), fitness center and gyms, sauna. Free access to high-speed Wi-Fi is provided.
The whole territory is fenced and carefully guarded around the clock, the entrance to the residence and rooms is possible only on a personal electronic pass.
Accommodation already includes:

- Use of the entire residence infrastructure.
Additionally, bed sheets and dishes, as well as used electricity, are paid.
The minimum booking period is 9 months. In addition, we recommend each student to have 300 € -500 € per month: this includes transport costs, household purchases and meals.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
1) Applicants to the undergraduate program:
- Certificate / diploma of completed secondary education
- Certificate of English: IELTS 5.0 or TOEFL iBT 40.
If you plan to enroll in Law programs, then the requirements for the level of English will be slightly higher - from 5.5 on the IELTS scale. If you can not provide an international certificate, you can pass the entrance examination in English at the university just before admission.
2) To graduate students:
