Macromedia University of Applied Sciences is a multi-campus university in Germany. Thanks to the central location of the study areas, the institution can offer students a modern learning environment, easy access to attractions and entertainment centers.

The number of students on all campuses exceeds the 4,500 mark, some of whom represent 80 different nationalities. International students come here to gain qualifications, competitive skills and experience that will help them launch their international careers. The university currently offers studies in German and English in 15 degree programs in 106 specializations.

Macromedia University and its sister institution Macromedia Academy are part of the international education group Galileo Global Education, which operates a network of 45 schools and universities, educating more than 120,000 students on 85 campuses in 13 countries.

The institution does not have on-site housing. Students have the opportunity to receive assistance from Macromedia staff in finding accommodation: apartments, hotels, suites or residences cooperate with the university and offer special conditions for accommodation.

Facilities and equipment at University of Macromedia University for Media and Communication

The institution is located on two campuses in two German cities: Berlin and Munich.

  • The Berlin campus neighbors the famous landmarks, vibrant city life and natural beauty of the capital city. Located in the popular Kreuzberg neighborhood, the university offers a modern, friendly learning environment and a tranquil setting.  
  • The Munich campus is located in the heart of the Isar metropolis. Teaching takes place in bright classrooms with the latest technical equipment. The lounge, hall and roof terrace are available for both teamwork and independent study.

Each campus of Macromedia University for Media and Communication is equipped with everything you need for effective and productive learning, it combines a warm, welcoming atmosphere with well-established infrastructure and state-of-the-art technology. There are PC and Mac computers with a diagonal of 19-20 inches in classrooms and classrooms, sound and video recording studios, radio studios with a full set of professional equipment. There is free access to the Internet and intranet.

Admission dates and extra charges

The academic year runs from fall to mid-summer and includes several semesters, one of which students may spend in classes at a partner university. The schedule consists of five school days and weekends: Saturday and Sunday. Vacations are provided twice a year - summer and winter, rest is also organized on international and national vacations.

Recommendations on when to apply

Language courses, schools and children's language camps Primary and secondary education - private schools Preparation programmes for entering universities - higher education Higher education (after completing accredited programs A-level, IB, High School) - Bachelor, Master, MBA
- we recommend to apply 6-9 months before the start of the course (some camps and schools offer discounts for early booking or for lengthy study programs)
- there are some very popular and high demand children's camps, where the applications need to be submitted 1 year in advance (in particular Switzerland , Great Britain , USA , Canada , Austria)
- we recommend to apply one year before the start of the training program,
- some schools have a specific time frame (September-November - please specify an individual school)
- some schools require tests in several stages (UKISET, internal tests of the school: English, mathematics, logics, subjects, interview, some require a personal visit)

- for Foundation and Pathway programs, IELTS and TOEFL certificates are usually required, respectively
