Hochschule Trier was founded in 1971. Today Trier University of Applied Sciences consists of three academic buildings in:
- Trier (Schneidershof main campus)
- Birkenfeld (Environmental Campus Birkenfeld )
- Idar-Oberstein.
The educational institution is one of the largest in Germany for the training of specialists in the field of applied art. The campus location allows students to collaborate not only with German educational institutions and enterprises, but also with French and Belgian ones.
