General French for teens:
Short information about vacation course for those who want to improve French and spend the summer in the Swiss Alps.
The language program lasting 2 - 5 weeks is available in two versions:
- Standard (15 hours or 20 lessons per week)
Students are engaged in French at least 3 hours daily, except for weekends.
- Intensive (25 lessons per week)
Lessons are held in small groups. The emphasis is on communication.
The program provides for the study of French vocabulary and grammar. Particular attention is paid to the perception of speech by ear and communication on specific topics.
- The age of students: 13 to 17.
- Requirements for enrollment: the level of French - A1 and higher.
- Learning outcomes: improving conversational skills, expanding the general vocabulary, the practice of communication in a language environment.
- Class size: up to 12 people.
- The length of the lesson: 45 minutes.

The French language course is available to students from 16 years old with any level of initial knowledge. The language level is important only at the stage of admission, since only certain dates are open for absolute beginners in French and the minimum duration of study is set at two weeks:

Students with levels ranging from elementary (A2) to advanced (C1+) can start on any Monday throughout the year and choose any duration starting from one week.
The program is the study of language basics: reading and writing, grammar, vocabulary, speaking and listening comprehension. Students can choose the intensity of the course - the number of lessons per week:
- Standard: 20 hours,
- Intensive: 25 hours,
- Premium: 30 hours,
- Combined: 20 group and 5 individual hours,
- Combined 2: 20 group and 10 individual hours.
The modern method of teaching consists in an informal setting and the use of role-playing games, debates, active discussion of personal interests and common topics. Communication between students helps them gain confidence in the use of French in everyday life, achieve better results and not lose interest in learning in the future.
Accommodation, meals, prices
Alpadia Montreux Summer Camp organizes accommodation for its students in host families. Teenagers live for 2 people in a room. Facilities, kitchen, recreation areas are shared. Meals in the family are provided on full board. In the menu there is European, French, Swiss cuisine. An additional advantage of family accommodation is an active language practice during after-hours.
