When it comes to the rankings of the best Swiss schools, what criteria are commonly used? How trustworthy is it?

I don't know such rankings, we don't care about them: Surval School Montreux is chosen by those who are looking for something special, and their decisions are not based on the notorious rating tables.

Review about Surval Montreux boarding school for girls

Elena Bakulina
(review of Surval Montreux)

I express my gratitude and many thanks to your expert - Lyubov! From the very first of our appeal to Smapse, she led us and gave any information on all questions of interest, comprehensive answers.

Love advised us both the country and the school, based on our preferences - my daughter is now studying at the Swiss Surval Montreux. Despite all the difficulties of the pandemic, visa processing went perfectly! And in general, all the issues that arose were resolved as quickly as possible. A separate plus is the amazing attitude towards customers.

Thank you Lyubov for her professionalism! My daughter is studying at a wonderful school, where she really likes, and I am calm and satisfied as a parent. Thanks again!

At Sürval, my daughter did the foundation program. At the time (2019), it was the only decent school in Switzerland to have this program. There are no complaints about the program and the level of teaching. Of course, this is probably not the strongest school in Switzerland. But for those who want to make a foundation in this country, in my opinion, there is no better choice. As for the school itself, of the pros: very attentive staff, excellent accommodation and food, lots of activities and sports for children. Of the minuses, I can note that in school a lot of attention is paid to who is dressed and such things. It can be a distraction from studying. My daughter completed the program successfully. Now he is studying in the United States. In general, many of her classmates entered the United States. He noted that after Surval they come mainly to the states, or remain in Switzerland. But in general, the program is international and is accepted everywhere.

They found out about Surval when they were looking for a camp for a girl in Switzerland with a minimum number of Russian speakers. Before that, there was an experience of sending a child to a camp in Geneva. We were disappointed, since the Russians were outnumbered by all the others and the effect of the program, of course, was lost. We recommended considering this option. We were looking for an option in the French-speaking part (we know that, for example, in the German-speaking part of the camp, where there are few Russians, there are, but for personal reasons we did not consider this region). There were really few Russians, the place was beautiful, the child liked geneva more. The program is also quite interesting, with activities sharpened for girls. Recommend.

I have been sending my daughter to the summer program for 2 years in a row. The first time I sent her was at the age of 11. I will not say that they were looking for a school for girls, but I liked Surval for its location and for the camp program itself. Since the child was small, they were looking for a small school so that the child would receive enough attention. The manager of the company smapps, where we turned for help in the selection, recommended us this option. I looked at the reviews, most of them were positive. My daughter went on a trip on her own, as there was no way to take her. I was worried, of course, decently. But in the end, everything was fine. We ordered a school transfer back and forth. There was a misunderstanding due to the level of language, of course. But by that time, my daughter already had the experience of an independent trip to an English-speaking camp in Russia. Based on practice, I know that it can adapt quickly. She was delighted with the program and excursions! The location of the school is also excellent: the scenery is impressive definitely (my daughter brought a bunch of photos and videos).
