Joseph Chamberlain College is a successful Sixth Form college with a national reputation for excellence. It is one of the most popular colleges in the country. It was founded in 1983 and today offers a wide range of A-level and technology education (BTEC) courses for school leavers, a variety of adult education and higher education programmes.

Joseph Chamberlain College is the only college in Birmingham and Solihull to receive an Outstanding rating from the Office for Education, Child Services and Skills Standards (OFSTED). In 2021, the student success rate was 100%.

Facilities and equipment at Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College

Joseph Chamberlain College is located in the heart of Birmingham and has a state-of-the-art campus with a plethora of student facilities, modern, well-equipped lecture halls, study areas, and learning resources. The main building has a dining room, social areas, a main lecture hall, art, design and photography studios and classrooms, a library, an open learning center, IT classrooms, gardens and a car park.

The college has a separate building called Orchard House, which has a study area, hospital classrooms, chemistry rooms, medical and social classes, and early childhood classes. Joseph Chamberlain College has its own sports center, which includes a gym and a fitness room.

The Pod is a designated space where students can get away from the hustle and bustle of student life. It's a place where everyone can work virtually in silence with other people who sometimes find it difficult to keep up with the fast pace of college. Here you can also organize a 1-on-1 lesson with a teacher.

The academic year at Joseph Chamberlain College runs from September to June. The year is divided into 3 trimesters, between which vacations are organized:

Upon admission to Joseph Chamberlain College, the candidate must do the following:

  • Apply for the chosen course and receive confirmation of admission.
  • Once the candidate has secured a place on the course, the international office of Joseph Chamberlain College will assist with the appropriate visa application.
  • Students who require a visa can apply for a full English course with a short-term study visa or for an academic course at NQF (National Qualifications System) levels with a student route visa.
