Preparatory School

Preparatory School is an educational program for girls from 2.5 to 11 years old. It is designed to prepare students for further education at the Senior School. The program includes a wide range of subjects - English, mathematics, science, foreign languages, art, music and physical education.

Preparatory School is divided into several stages - for the youngest and older children. Senior School (High School Program)

It offers students a wide range of subjects to study, including languages (French, German, Spanish), mathematics, science, business, economics, art and design, philosophy, history, music, theater, etc.

Edgbaston High School offers additional training programs - preparatory courses for admission to the university and language programs.

The school provides excellent conditions for a wide range of creative and sports activities, both included in the curriculum and held in numerous clubs and associations.

Technical equipment is represented by the following items:

  • Three art studios that are equipped with everything you need to conduct a wide range of classes, including ceramics, printing and graphic design, traditional painting and drawing. The school also has a graphic design studio where girls can learn special skills and techniques,

Admission dates and extra charges

Summer semester:

  • Vacation in the middle of the semester: May 27 – June 1.

Additional costs

  • The school provides lunches to students, the cost of 5 lunches is 259 £,
  • Registration fee £75 – covers administrative costs and is non-refundable,
  • The application fee is £300 at the preparatory school, £400 at the high school and the Sixth Form. This fee will be refunded when the student leaves EHS, minus all final payments.

Enrolment process

Admission to Edgbaston High School is based on the results of an independent assessment. Guardians will need to create a unique login on the Admissions Portal to officially register, which can be used to book open events, apply (including scholarship applications), fill out important forms, track application progress, and communicate directly with the school.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

  • Girls from the age of 2.5 are taken to the nursery if they are physically, emotionally and socially ready for a learning environment away from home,
  • To enter secondary school, a girl will need to pass an age-appropriate entrance test in English, mathematics and French (or the main modern foreign language). She will be interviewed by the school principal,
  • Regardless of whether a girl is transferring to high school from another school or is already studyingat EHS, she will need the following qualifications to enter the Sixth Form : at least six GCSEs with grades 6-9, including English and mathematics; individual GCSE assessment requirements for each A-Level subject she chooses.

Scholarships Edgbaston High Private School

Scholarships are awarded in recognition of a girl's academic ability and potential based on her entrance assessment and interview. It can be up to 50% of the cost of education and is not related to the financial capabilities of the girl's family.

There are several different types of scholarships offered:

  • Scholarships for Grade 7 students (11 years +). A separate application is not required - they are awarded on the basis of the results of entrance exams,
  • For passionate and capable musicians, the school offers scholarships to study music. To receive these scholarships, you must submit a separate application before the deadline for registration,
  • High School Scholarships – Several subject scholarships in the Sixth Form. External candidates applying for the scholarship must pass an additional exam.
