HIF Swiss International School and Sports Academy is one of the oldest private schools in Switzerland. The HIF Campus with excellent sports facilities extends along the mountain side at 1700 metres above sea level in a beautiful alpine setting in the south eastern part of Switzerland. The region boarders on Italy and Austria. Ftan is a 3-hour drive from Zurich (CH) International Airport, and 2 hours from Milan (IT) or Munich (DE) International Airports
This is a respected international boarding school with a sports bias: the Sports Academy, which works at the HIF, is widely known not only in the country, but also abroad. About 80 children from 12 to 18 years study here: there are both classical academic programs (Swiss Matura Swiss Certificate, GCSE) and combined courses with professional sports training. Swiss Matura (Swiss Matura)

Hochalpines Institut Ftan teaches the Cambridge IGCSE format, which is specially adapted for foreigners and at the same time strictly compliant with British standards.

All students who choose the IB program learn:

Language Integration Year
A special program (as the name implies, designed for 1 academic year), ideally preparing foreign students for studying at a Swiss college.
This course will help you prepare in all the necessary areas:

Camp participants live in full board and receive a balanced diet. Regional, seasonal, fresh, healthy - this is the concept of HIF nutrition. A balanced and tasty diet is necessary for concentration, mental and sports results, while it gives pleasure and brings joy. The school has organized local deliveries of seasonal products from the Engadine Mountains region: Hatecke supplies environmentally friendly meat products, Pastizaria Cantieni offers freshly baked bread. Students with allergies and intolerances are offered separate food options.
