The Young Leaders summer course is held in one of the UK's oldest, privileged and respected schools: Tonbridge School, founded back in 1553, is now part of the elite Eton Group. Summer camp here annually takes 50-60 students from around the world at the age of 14 to 17 years. Summer camp Tonbridge school is a great opportunity to improve language, academic, leadership skills, meet new friends from all over the world and have fun!

A special summer course of leadership will help students to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for a successful life, effective study and work. The program of the course includes diverse lessons - lectures, seminars, practical and interactive classes - during which students will speak publicly, participate in debates, prepare and conduct presentations, talks, discussions, conduct personal research and even learn business English.

Quick overview: This is a special summer course for those who want more than just English lessons! The vacancy course of leadership will become a serious motivation for ambitious and active students who want to reach their maximum potential and fully reveal their personal potential. Classes on the course will be devoted to the following topics:

  • Development of public speaking skills;
  • Leadership skills + ability to work in a team;
  • Effective time management;
  • Distribution and ranking of tasks;
  • Theoretical seminars:
    • International tourism; 
    • Law and policy;
    • UN model;
    • Journalism and media;
    • Marketing and management;
    • Modern technologies.

Every week students are divided into groups and carry out a common project. It can be research, consideration of the existing modern problem and the search for a way to solve it, information section on the world company, etc.

The program includes 28 hours of classes weekly - it's theoretical lectures, and useful workshops, seminars, as well as presentations and debates in groups of 10-12 people. Please note that to enroll in the course you need to confirm the level of English from Intermediate (B1) and above.

The summer camp is held from July 10 to August 7: two-week arrivals start and end on Tuesdays; The intensity of the lessons is 28 hours per week (there is also the possibility to book a four-week course).

Accommodation, meals, prices

Comfortable Tonbridge school residences provide cozy rooms for vacation students for 1-2 people (boys and girls are accommodated separately) - there is a private bathroom for every 4-6 people. Bed linen is provided, weekly free laundry (but towels need to bring their own), fast WiFi throughout the territory, there are also quiet classes with computers for self-study and preparation of tasks.

Extra-curricular and entertaining program will help students not only to relax, but also to practice skills mastered in the class: constantly communicating in English, students significantly increase the intensity of the course and become more self-confident. On the campus are constantly held sports tournaments and creative evenings, competitions and quizzes, relay races, games, discos and celebrations. Great attention is paid to the excursion component - every week international students leave for 1-2 excursions for the whole day and 1-2 for several hours:

  • Walks through Tonbridge;
  • A tour of London, visiting key attractions and monuments, shopping;
  • Coastal resort Brighton;
  • Majestic and academic Cambridge;
  • A huge theme park amusement Thorpe Park and much, much more.

More than 150 acres of school territory is an ideal place for learning, living, recreation and leisure. Here for the pupils everything necessary is prepared, including an excellently adjusted sports infrastructure:

  • Modern, spacious sports center;
  • Pool;
  • Numerous halls, fields and grounds (for team games and individual education);
  • Squash courts;
  • Tennis courts;
  • Athletic paths and necessary equipment;
  • A large field for games with artificial grass.

Admission dates and extra charges

Tuition fee already includes:

  • Education on the chosen program (28 hours weekly);
  • Accommodation and meals (residence, full board, room for 1-2 people);
  • Initial testing of the level of knowledge and firm certificate upon completion of the program;
  • Leisure, sports and sightseeing program, entertainment: at least 3 trips every week (2 for the whole day and 1-2 for several hours);
  • Transfer at the set time, meetings and departures: from 10 to 22 hours, airports Gatwick or Heathrow.

Some services are paid additionally to tuition fee:

  • Registration fee;
  • Additional academic and language classes (optional);
  • Additional leisure activities and excursions (optional);
  • Air tickets;
  • Transfer in both directions (at an unspecified time);
  • Compulsory medical insurance;
  • Personal pocket expenses;

This summer camp is not suitable for beginners: Tonbridge school programs are designed for students with a fairly confident knowledge of English - from intermediate and higher (Intermediate, or B1 +).
