Barry University is a private Catholic university in Miami, Florida, one of the largest universities in the southeastern United States, founded in 1940. In the summer, Barry University hosts effective English language courses that bring together students aged 12-18 from all over the world to help them spend the summer with benefit and pleasure.
Educational process
The school day is built according to a clear schedule: in the morning and in the daytime there are classes, and in the evening students attend events. On-site excursions are also possible during lunch hours. Meals in the canteen are organized in a timely manner, in between classes students can buy snacks and drinks. Getting up in the morning and going to bed are also important elements of the daily schedule.

Summer English Course

The Summer English Language Program is an effective and enjoyable way to improve your knowledge and skills. Additionally, students will find new friends from all over the world, will be able to get acquainted with the culture and sights of the United States, outline their educational path and directions for further development.
Before the start of classes, all students undergo an entrance test: it determines the already existing level of knowledge (from beginners to advanced) and places the student in a group corresponding to this level. So training becomes both effective and comfortable. In the classroom (the standard intensity is 20 lessons, or 15 hours weekly), students will work on all key language competencies:
- Speaking
- Written language,
- Listening (listening comprehension),
- Reading
- Vocabulary (vocabulary),
- Competent and fluent speech without an accent,
- Grammar.
Emphasis is placed on communicative features, on the development of oral speech in order to maximize the effectiveness of the course and remove the language barrier as soon as possible.
After completing the program, students will take a final test that will determine their progress and the new level achieved, and will receive a branded certificate of participation in the program.

Students of summer programs settle in the university's own residences, 100 places are allocated for them. This is a modern, stylish apartment with private bathrooms, the comfort of which will be appreciated by any student, regardless of the country of arrival.

In their free time, students continue to practice English, but already in the process of exciting and diverse activities. Excursions are always remembered by all students - at least 2 for the whole day and 1 for half a day are held weekly:

The campus of Barry University is located just 10 minutes drive from the huge South Beach (20 km) and Miami International Airport: it will be convenient for children to travel, the transfer will not take much time. The historic centre is 13 km away.
On campus there is everything that students can need for life, study, recreation and entertainment, even its own shops and metro station! Lunches and dinners are held in a spacious bright dining room, an excellent infrastructure for sports training and matches has been prepared, including its own swimming pool. The whole territory is covered with WiFi, is under guard and video surveillance 24/7.

The admission process consists of several stages:

All future students take an English proficiency test to get into the class with equal skills and learn more effectively.
Perspectives
At the end of each of the programs, graduates receive a certificate that can be added to the list of individual achievements and used when entering a school, college or university. It will show the quality of the knowledge gained and will make it possible to avoid some entrance tests.
