Badminton School is one of the most prestigious in England boarding schools for girls, locating in the heart of Bristol, a famous university town near the sea, in a safe and quiet area. The distance to London is about 200 kilometers. The city is famous primarily by the University of Bristol, one of the best universities in England, as well as by other ranking colleges and higher schools.
Badminton School was founded in 1858 solely for separate education: here the young lady is given a high quality, prestigious education. Initially, the goal of the school was to give girls the same education as their brothers and male relatives, and also to accept for the boarding girls whose parents are abroad.
The school is divided into two stages: the Junior School and the Senior School. The most popular school specializations are the exact and humanities:
- Art;
- Mathematics;
- Music;
- Science.
Most often, graduates build a career in such areas as art, medicine, jurisprudence, science and journalism.
The main goal of educators and employees is a full, comprehensive disclosure of each child's potential, respect for his abilities and individuality. This is facilitated by a high level of trust between teachers and students: enthusiasm, a craving for learning and new knowledge, ambitiousness, curiosity are actively brought up. Students are not pressured, they are not forced to identify as soon as possible interesting directions and disciplines. Moreover, the teachers are sure that if the girl is successful in extra-curricular activities and additional classes, then the success in the academic field will not be long in coming. Educational programs harmoniously combine academic, sports, creative and leisure activities.
According to the 2010 data, the graduates successfully passed the A-level exam (87% for scores from A* to B), as well as GCSE (97% for scores from A* to B).
