Worth School is located in the small, picturesque and tranquil village of Ternes Hill, a place in West Sussex, near Crawley (it takes less than an hour to get to London, and you can get to the major Gatwick Airport in just 10 minutes). The school was founded in 1933 by the Benedictine abbey. Initially it was an educational institution exclusively for boys: in 2008 Sixth Form (high school) program began to be hosted by girls, and in 2012 coaching was finally accepted. There are three branches:

  • Junior School (11-13 years)
  • High School (13-16 years)
  • High School (16-18 years old, Sixth Form).

The institution harmoniously combines the ancient traditions of Benedictines and modern technologies and innovations - this helps to fully reveal the abilities and talents of each student, to bring up independencein children. There is an institute of mentoring - the mentor of each student is always ready to help in solving various issues, difficult situations, to help in academic development.

Worth School is proud of the high quality of its educational programs. The main directions of studying can be called mathematics, science and linguistics, as well as a large number of interesting and diverse electives that will help the student to reveal all facets of his talent, to satisfy academic interest. Here the preparation for the classical IB program is very strong - the graduates successfully pass the exams and enter the selected universities and higher schools without much difficulty. According to the data of 2015, 30.8% of graduates passed the A-level examination at A-A* level, 64.7% at A* - B level, and GCSE examinations 50.4% of graduates passed at the highest level of A-A*. It often hosts useful workshops, seminars and open lessons, in which current professionals from various fields of activity and professions take part.

Worth School regularly and successfully passes the tests of the prestigious Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) commission - the latter was held in 2014, where the institution received excellent grades in all positions. In the independent directory The Good Schools Guide, the institution is given the following characteristic: "An excellent Catholic school, from which come educated and independent children." At the same time, children of all faiths and denominations are accepted for education. The official religion is Catholicism.

Why do parents value British elementary and high schools so much?

These are some of the best learning environments you can find. Teaching methods, qualifications of British schools are recognized all over the world, many have adopted them as a model and standard. As they grow up, the child is given great academic freedom - he can explore, question the facts that he is studying, thereby developing independent, analytical, inquisitive thinking. Students in the UK are always at the center of the learning process, with their individual needs in focus.

Since Britain is the birthplace of English, the language of technology, business and science, parents hope that the development of language skills will make it possible to study any literature (research, teaching), build an academic and professional career.
