The educational approach and curriculum are based on an individualized learning plan, developed taking into account the unique potential, abilities, interests of each child. Students have the time to study each subject in accordance with their skills, abilities, with individual support from teachers. For example, some students may be “behind schedule”, taking up to a year to complete one course (if they need extra time), but then they quickly accelerate; another child can complete two years in one. As they progress, the curricula are adjusted taking into account personal growth: the emphasis is on the strengths of each child, taking into account specific problems, increasing the ability to concentrate, and emotional balance.

  • Each young man usually engages in physical exercises for 30 minutes a day: there is a hockey program once a week in the afternoon, music programs.
  • Schoolchildren make night trips to Camp Potlatch, Manning Park, Golden Ears.
  • Whitecliff does not close for Christmas and Spring vacations, but remains open with special programs to provide practical, emotional, proactive support to young people.
