Students have the opportunity to live in one of the 5 hostels owned by the university, however, you must pre-apply for a room in one of them, as there are many people who want to get housing. The cost of living in a dorm room is 160-240 € per month.
Another option for living in Leipzig is to rent your own housing - an apartment or apartments. The cost of housing will be 200-400 € per month, but it should be borne in mind that in most cases the student will have to buy their own furniture (housing often rents out almost empty).

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
For Russian students, for admission to the undergraduate program, it is necessary to go through the preparatory year at the Studienkolleg (analogous to preparatory courses), which replaces grades 12–13 at the school. Depending on the chosen faculty, students study several necessary subjects.
After successful completion, students can enter the 1st year of the university.
To register with Studiencolleg, students must have an invitation from the university, a certificate confirming knowledge of the German language at a level no lower than B1, a certificate of secondary education, and successfully pass the entrance exams.
For admission to the magistracy, applicants must provide a diploma of higher education and a certificate confirming knowledge of the German language not lower than B2-C1.
