A successful and sought-after college was founded in 1990 with the goal of preparing British and foreign students to enter the top universities of the UK and the world. Today, college campuses are located in Oxford and Cambridge - the main university citadels of England, known for their legendary universities, majestic architecture and a unique international atmosphere. To date, only in Oxford there are 38 colleges that are part of Oxford University: during free hours students can walk around the city and the Thames by boat, visit innumerable cafes, restaurants, pubs, museums, art galleries and shops.

The college is proud of its first-class teaching staff: about 250 professionals, most of whom are members of UK examination boards, are the authors of educational and methodical guides. About 70% of students (including foreigners from all over the world) start their studies here on the recommendation of friends, acquaintances and classmates - the highest rating, prestige and excellent reputation from year to year attract more students, and the total number of college graduates has already exceeded 35,000 people.

Standard course Pre-IB

  • Dates: June 24 - August 4
  • Age of students: 16-19 years.

A special program for well-educated, academically well-off students who want to strengthen their knowledge and skills before enrolling in the International Baccalaureate (IB) course. This program is widely distributed and quoted around the world, so it makes it possible to enter any university of your choice - Preparation, and educaton at IB should be thought-out and effective.

The program includes 12 hours of study per week: two top priority subjects are selected, which they will need for admission to the chosen institution. In small groups, students will improve language and academic skills, perfect practical skills and deepen theoretical knowledge. Available items (note - not all courses are available throughout the summer, some are taught only on certain shifts):

A lot of time is spent on acquaintance with the structure of IB exams: using real materials over the past years, students will recognize task blocks and features, rules of implementation, learn time management, learn to see typical "traps" and avoid ambiguity of answers. In addition to the selected scientific disciplines, students will study the basics of subjects that are mandatory for everyone in the IB course:

  • writing an expanded academic essay (volume from 4000 words, the topic is chosen independently and is consistent with the teacher)
  • course of general theory of knowledge (TOK)
  • "Creativity, Service, Activity" (CAS): a set of extracurricular activities - sports, creative, charitable / social / volunteer - that will help the student develop personally, in addition to academic success.

All pupils are accompanied by a personal curator for 24 hours a day: he will always help with solving domestic, administrative, academic issues. Teachers, in turn, prepare a weekly report on the success of each student: they highlight the strengths and successful projects / work, details and topics that should be paid more attention, recommendations for admission and further education.

Pre-IB courses are held from June 24 to August 10. The cost per person is:

  • standard Pre-IB = 2150 £ / week.

The indicated price includes the course, accommodation and meals (full board), as well as entertainment, leisure and sightseeing program.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Places for students accommodation are offered in the partner St. Antony's College (founded in 1950) - the campus is designed for 400-450 people, completely safe and round the clock guarded. Most of the rooms are individual, there are also double rooms; conveniences in sufficient quantity are located on floors, as well as a laundry, a common living room for rest and communication; Internet access is provided. On request, you can book a room with a private bathroom (with a surcharge of £ 20 / day). Boys and girls are housed separately.

The boarding three meals a day is organized in the spacious dining room of the college: it is a balanced, useful and varied diet rich in delicious and nutritious dishes cooked by a team of cooks exclusively from fresh products. There is an opportunity to choose separate diets: low-calorie, halal, vegetarian products.

  • Breakfast: every day
  • Lunches: Monday-Saturday
  • Dinners: Friday and Sunday (the remaining days students can eat in the many cafes and restaurants of Oxford, discovering new dishes of British and international cuisine).

In their free time, students have the widest opportunities for sports, creative, personal and social development. Numerous sports clubs and sections are available for them:

Separate attention deserves a regular University Fair (University Fair), which students of the summer course receive access. At the Fair they will be able to get acquainted with the directions, the themes of university education, colleges and faculties, to establish themselves in their decisions on admission, to learn the features of enrollment and submission of documents, to understand how the successful passing of examinations IB in UK will help them in the future. Usually fairs are held 1-2 times per summer - in 2018 this is the 5th and 26th of July, when the following prestigious educational institutions will be represented:

Also families can join students for dinner (daily from 19:00 to 20:00, a fee of 20 £ per person is required).
