GCSE (GCSE Preparation)

Oxford College offers a one-year intensive GCSE preparation course for one of the most important school examinations. It is suitable for students who have completed Year 9 with good academic results and an IELTS minimum of 4.0.

The programme consists of 40-42 lessons per week with qualified teachers. There is a diverse list of subjects to study, with only five to choose from:

• Math,
• English,
• Information and Communication Technology,
• Geography,
• History,
• Natural Sciences,
• Art, Painting and Design,
• Physical Education,
• PSHE: Personal, Social Health, and Economic, Health Education.

University preparation program in your chosen field of study.

Duration: 3-6 trimesters

The course is aimed at improving the key skills in the English language required for the IELTS exam.

• Duration of the course: 6 weeks minimum
• Course start: every Monday (6 Jan - 8 Dec );  5 January, 16 February, 30 March, 11 May, 22 June, 3 August, 14 September and 26 October.

Brief information. General English course. The program is universal, suitable for students with different levels of basic training.

About the course. The course involves a load of 20 academic hours per week. The lessons focus on developing four skills: listening comprehension, speaking, writing and reading.

Online IELTS Preparation Course
Course duration: from 1 week

The cost of the program:

· 175 pounds per week - 30 lessons per week; 1 lesson - 45 minutes.

1. Dates of the start of classes: every Monday, subject to a set of groups of 4 people of the same level. Entrance testing required (minimum level - Pre - Intermediate )

Year-round Study Tours

• Age - from 14 to 17 years,
• The duration of training is flexible,
• The start dates are from September 1 to May 31.

Study tours are held throughout the academic year, with the exception of summer holidays. Groups of international students can visit the campus of Oxford College and explore the sights of nearby cities. The course includes:

• Weekly English classes in groups of 15 people,
• Accommodation in host families (double rooms),
• Full board meals,
• Events on campus every evening,
• Excursions and visits to attractions according to the wishes of students.

Upon arrival, students will attend a welcome tour of the campus and its surroundings, take an English proficiency test.

Completion of the program will bring to the personal portfolio of each student a certificate of completed training: progress in linguistics, the number of hours attended classes.

The cost of the course consists of the price for accommodation and meals, the number of excursions and activities requested. For example, students will pay about £220-270 for accommodation per week, and up to £79 for a full-day excursion to London.

Medical Summer Programme

• Age - from 15 years,
• The duration of training is two weeks,
• The start dates are July 2.

The summer program provides students with an introduction to the world of medicine and the wide range of career opportunities available in this field. The course is an ideal preparation for professional medical education and a qualitative introduction to further education. Students will learn:

• What does being a doctor really mean,
• Necessary skills and personal qualities for the provision of services,
• Academic routes for obtaining a diploma,
• What universities are looking for in applicants' applications and how applicants are eliminated,
• Approaches that they could use to demonstrate that they have all the necessary knowledge to succeed in this challenging profession.

Students will gain quality knowledge, develop their academic skills and strategies to make the most of their time and experience both in and out of the classroom.

The program includes:

• The study of natural sciences in the context of medical degrees and professions,
• Development of critical thinking, presentation and discussion skills through the discussion of current social and ethical issues in medicine,
• Medical-related visits and guest lectures, including a session with a medical school admissions tutor and a university visit,
• Researching the application process and requirements for degrees in various fields of medicine,
• Preparation and practice of medical interviews, understanding the differences between panel and multiple mini-interviews,
• Preparation for aptitude tests, UCAT and BMAT.

Students are accommodated with host families and attend academic classes on the campus of Oxford College.

Summer Academy

• Age - from 15 to 17 years,
• The duration of training is two or four weeks,
• The start dates are July 2 and July 16.

The summer academy course is perfect for high school students preparing to enter the university. It offers an in-depth study of two specialties:

• STEM,
• Business and Humanities.

In addition to professional classes, students receive English lessons in which they will improve their pronunciation and comprehension, vocabulary, reading and writing skills. The academic load is 17 hours of subject lessons and 10 hours of academic English every week + UCAS consultations.

Students spend their free time on excursions: a full-day trip and an educational visit for several hours are offered weekly.

International High School Programme

• Age - from 15 years,
• The term of study is one, two or three trimesters,
• Start dates - September, January.

The program provides high school students with a unique opportunity to get acquainted with British culture and the educational system in the format of preparation for GCSE - for students 14-17 years old or A-Level - for students 16-17 years old.

The course is a full-fledged education in high school and includes the study of a wide range of subjects:

UAL Foundation Diploma in Art & Design

• Age - from 16.5 years,
• The term of study is one year,
• The start dates are September.

The UAL Foundation Diploma is a very intensive and stimulating course designed to give students a full and rewarding learning experience, to prepare them for admission to university.

Students receive a large amount of individual attention from specialist teachers who maintain their creative activities along with teaching.

The course, divided into three semesters, consists of 80% art and design and 20% Learning Communication Skills (CSS), including English classes in IELTS format. All students take three modules during the school year.

The course offers training in several specialties:

In addition to the disciplines studied, the curriculum includes English classes that will help students improve their speaking skills, listening comprehension and vocabulary.

Science & Engineering Foundation (Preparation for training in the field of science and engineering)

• Age - from 16 years,
• The term of study is from 4 to 7 trimesters,
• Start dates are September, January, April, June.

The scientific and technical course has two formats: standard and advanced. The standard course lasts one academic year and helps students gain knowledge in the field of technology. The advanced format provides more in-depth knowledge and skills, providing a phased passage of modules and a balanced schedule.

The course will study:

Fast Track Art & Design Pathway 

• The term of study is two years.

The program gives students the opportunity to study art and design for two years, then earn a degree in their chosen direction.

During the first year, students will take A-Level disciplines in two subjects from the list:

• Art, Craft & Design,
• Fine Arts,
• Photography
• Graphic design.

During the second year, the course of the Art & Design Foundation, presented in the list of programs of the institution, will be studied. It represents the choice of a specific specialization and its in-depth study.

Upon graduation, students will be prepared to transfer to university and pursue a degree course in art.
