Rutherford School (RPS) is a private school offering a variety of programs with the ability to take them full-time on campus or online from anywhere in the world.
The educational institution was opened in 2007 thanks to Igor Sarzhinsky, the founder and current director of the school. The main goal and distinctive feature of RPS is multiculturalism: representatives of many nationalities, including Russians, Ukrainians, Chinese and Iranians, study at the institution. Educational process

Canada Zoom School (CZS) is a successful innovation in education created during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The main purpose of CZS is international students wishing to study in Canadian schools. Junior High School

The school provides an inclusive program for grades 9 and 10, which can be completed in person or virtually.
Students take a maximum of five courses per semester instead of studying for the traditional semester for many schools. This approach helps to make a more effective schedule, taking into account the versatile development of students in different subject disciplines.
Also, one of the main aspects of the program is the opportunity to complete two classes in just one year: students who are especially successful in their studies will be able to study all the necessary subjects externally.
In the first semester, the courses of the 9th grade are studied:

STEAM after school

The STEAM course is aimed at the development of the youngest pupils of schools – students of grades 1-8. The classes will study important areas for our time:
- Grades 1-3: Robotics, Lego WeDO, Creation and Coding in Game Format,
- Grades 4-6: Mechanics and Robotics based on Lego, basic knowledge of Python,
- Grades 7-8: artificial intelligence, programming, studying the Internet.
The classes, held from 15:00 to 19:00 during all weekdays, will be provided with various academic materials: from game practices to solving mathematical problems. Depending on the age of the students, the curriculum will become more complicated.
The child can study both on campus and using Zoom from home.
ESL
- Age – from 12 years,
- The period is up to 2 years.
The ESL program aims to improve the language skills of students in grades 7-8. English classes focus on the development of speech, writing skills, vocabulary replenishment and listening comprehension. By attending this course, students will prepare for the transition to high school with a sufficient level of English proficiency.
University Pathway
- Age – from 16 years,
- The training period is 2 years.
The university preparation program focuses on developing talents and addressing the academic weaknesses of students in grades 11 and 12.
By assisting students in the transition to the undergraduate program, RPS teachers actively support them, conducting additional consultations and individual lessons both in person and online. Students must complete at least 6 credit courses in Grade 12 to enter prestigious universities.
The program offers training in several areas:
- Business: accounting, management, management, financial analysis,
- Engineering: aerospace, construction, IT-, electrotechnical specialization,

The RPS Summer School gives high school students the opportunity to live and study in Toronto while learning technology and English. Each two-week course contains a variety of activities, from academic lectures to outdoor activities.
The program for international students lasts from 1 to 6 weeks. The main advantage of training is the neighborhood with Canadian students of the same age, allowing you to practice language skills and find like-minded people in your favorite hobby.
Students will study digital technologies under the guidance of experienced Canadian instructors. In modern computer laboratories, they will learn how to use Microsoft MakeCode for Micro:bit, and in the Arduino studio - to create interactive electronic devices controlled via the Internet.
Entertainment will also be available to all students, such as day trips to the famous Niagara Falls, Kingston "1000 Islands", Tobermory Provincial Park and many other places.
Accommodation, meals, prices
Pupils are given the opportunity to live in a foster family: this gives students the opportunity to communicate with native speakers, study the culture of the country and feel comfortable outside the school walls.
A homestay plan with three meals a day will cost $13,535 per academic year.
On campus there is a canteen, which students can visit during the school day.
Activities Rutherford Private School
The knowledge gained in the classroom is supported by a wide variety of extracurricular activities. For example, while studying natural sciences, students visit science centers and laboratories in Toronto and beyond. Students regularly study the exhibitions of the Aga Khan Museum, the Royal Museum and the Centre of Toronto, participate in the life of the main of the local universities.
Leisure at school is held in specialized studios of creativity, where students can play musical instruments, engage in drawing and theatrical art. Rutherford School campuses are located in two Canadian cities: Vaughan and North York.
