High School Diploma

The high school curriculum is flexible, with students in grades 9-12 taking 10 academic credits each year in core and individually selected subjects.
There are 30 credits available during secondary school: 18 are compulsory and 12 are optional. Each credit must be completed within 110 hours, 6 of which must be Grade 12 credits. The list of 18 required credits includes 15 credits in the following subjects:

Longbridge Academy offers a unique English Summer Camp (LEC) program for international students. The summer course is held at the University of Waterloo under the guidance of the Academy and the Renison English Language Institute (University of Waterloo Language Institute) every year, usually in July and August.
Since 1972, the Renison English Language Institute has been offering high-quality English language programs and courses. Located at the University of Waterloo, Renison ELI supports more than 1,000 students from 35 countries each year in achieving their academic and professional goals. By becoming a student of Renison ELI, a child will have a unique experience of learning a language in an English-speaking community.
In the lessons, students will be introduced to interesting university topics in the fields of humanities and natural sciences, business and technology. The total academic load is 25 hours of lessons per week, focused on basic linguistics skills: reading, speaking, pronunciation, grammar, listening, writing, vocabulary. Students are divided into small groups based on their existing knowledge, making progress together, at a comfortable pace.
