The Schloss Schule Stein internat is located in the famous, hospitable region of Bavaria, 90 kilometers from Munich. The area is surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Alpine mountains, here there are many ancient historical castles and fortresses, the purest lakes, and the air is always fresh and clean.

The castle in which Schloss Schule Stein is located today is known from the XII century as an impregnable and powerful fortress, important for protection against the enemy. In the 19th century, the fortress was run by Amalia Bogarne, a relative of the legendary Napoleon Bonaparte and Princess of Lichtenberg, but already in the middle of the 20th century the fortress moved to its last owners (since 1964 it is owned by the Zieglers family), who founded the school here. Sebastian Ziegler is the director, he also teaches at school and lives with the whole family on campus. The institution carefully preserves historical customs and traditions, classical family values and strives to create an atmosphere of warmth, coziness, comfort and security, intimacy and friendliness. The motto is the phrase "Modern education on historical land." The school has the uniform.

The educational institution is a valid and active member of the Association of Educational Institutions in Germany and France. The basis of the pedagogical approach is the understanding of the uniqueness and individuality of each child, the full and maximum disclosure of personal talents and abilities. For this purpose, there is a huge number of electives, clubs, sections and circles of interest: everyone can find a job to taste, communicate with like-minded people and show their talent. Every student here is known in person, staff always ready to give all kinds of help and support. Senior students usually take patronage over the younger ones, become for them experienced mentors: they help in solving various problems, organize events and holidays for them, accompany them during excursions, trips to the theater or cinema, at sports and leisure activities.

High school students in the final grades can choose one of the academic courses: economics or linguistics (modern foreign languages). Final exams are given for selected disciplines, and their points go to the general certificate of Abitur.

Foreign students are always welcome here: they can count on additional, supporting lessons of the German language (in addition to basic classes), on the attentive and caring attitude of teachers. You can also attend additional lessons in separate disciplines and subjects if the student feels lagging behind a particular topic or aspect turned out to be too complex for him.

Each school day at Schloss Schule Stein starts at 6:30 and ends at 19:30. Up to the 10th grade, managers and teachers supervise the performance of homework assignments - separate hours are allocated for this, but high school students can independently choose the optimal time for self-training. Discipline here is quite strict, students develop independence, organization, mindfulness, perseverance and diligence, the ability to competently allocate their time and to work as efficiently as possible. Classes are not big (10-20 pupils).

My son is a Swiss/Colombian national and has B1 German proficiency. We are looking for a boarding school in Germany for him to attend from August/September until December 2020. We are looking for a secular school that follows official state’s curriculum and is fully accredited with the German government. We will be grateful of you can provide information about schools that meet such requirements as well as information about fees and accommodation. We also appreciate if you can provide information related to the dates of application and enrollment. We appreciate the attention to our enquiry.
