The private secondary school Internatgymnasium Schloss Torgelow is located in the castle with the same name and offers tuition on a daily basis and on a boarding basis: there are separate residences for boys and girls in the territory (a separate form of study is accepted here). The school was founded in 1994 by the Lehmann family - they formulated the basic school principles and postulates that are followed up to now. The philosophy is based on the principles of high academic literacy, positive attitude to people and the world around them, openness and readiness to perceive a new one, striving for self-education, self-development and disclosure of one's own talents and abilities.

The castle in which the school is located is on the shore of Lake Torgelov, in a picturesque and beautiful place in the north of Germany (the resort town of Voren): thanks to the proximity of the lake, students have the opportunity to practice various water sports (rowing, walking, sailing, swimming, other types of outdoor activities). The distance to Berlin is about 160 kilometers, you can get to Hamburg in about 2 hours.

The institution helps the active, gifted international students in every possible way, supports them all-round and helps to find their place in the modern world. A lot of this is facilitated by fruitful cooperation with several universities: specialists and teachers often conduct classes and lectures on oratorical skills, the ability to speak in the public, and correctly allocate time (time management). In addition, much attention is paid to the study of foreign languages: apart from the subjects of the compulsory program, each student studies at least one language, optionally, and foreign students additionally attend supporting German courses. You can choose English, French, Chinese or Russian (on request), Spanish or classical Latin.

Internatgymnasium Schloss Torgelow actively cooperates with educational institutions around the world, practices student exchanges - especially close communication with institutions in France, Argentina and the UK. There is also a special project "European Classroom": in the 9th grade students go for six months to study in England. The school is proud of the status of the only center in the country, the Internal Test Center: here you can get a language diploma from the Cambridge sample.

Up to 12 people are engaged in one class. A compulsory school uniform is not accepted here.

In spite of the mixed type of education, boys and girls live in different residences: cozy and comfortable double rooms with all necessary furniture and equipment are prepared for them, and some rooms are located directly in the castle. Together with the children there are always teachers (two of them) who live together with the pupils of the territory (residence or castle): they monitor the observance of cleanliness, order, discipline, look after children and provide their safety around the clock. The food in the Internatgymnasium Schloss Torgelow is organized according to the principle of a full board in the common dining room: the diet is very varied and balanced, it includes only fresh dishes and foods, a large number of vegetables and fruits.

The campus Internatgymnasium Schloss Torgelow is first and foremost remembered by the majestic appearance of a beautiful, ancient castle, its white walls, red roof tiles and graceful turrets. All classrooms, auditoriums and lecture halls are fully equipped with the necessary computer and interactive technology, there is its extensive electronic library and multimedia centers. There are many playgrounds and sports grounds (billiards, golf courses, gym and sports hall, tennis courts, street multifunctional fields), a studio for practicing dramatic skills, scientific laboratories (in which practical classes are most often held), modern computer classes.
