The International College for High School Students specializes in preparing students for university studies in Britain and offers a wide range of academic programs. Mander Portman Woodward is a prestigious college in the list of Cambridge colleges founded by three Cambridge graduates R. Woodward, R. Portman and N. Mander, which is consistently on the list of the best educational institutions for high school students.

MPW College is ideally suited to those who are dedicated and serious-oriented, because here students are completely focused on their studies, unlike the classical educational institutions in Britain, where equal preference is given to academic success, sporting achievements and creative implementation. Studying at school takes place in a rich and intensive way, and once a week students are waited for verification tests, which are designed not only to determine progress, but also to prepare students to think quickly and be stress-resistant.

A pride of the Cambridge school is a strong faculty: outstanding teachers, authors of educational materials, graduates of the best universities in England. Many college graduates successfully enter leading universities in medical faculties, art and design faculties, and many others.

What are the most important factors parents should consider when choosing a school?

Most often, parents are interested in the results of admission, that is, the end result - where the child can go after graduation. The ethnic composition, living and learning conditions are also important.

Review about MPW College Cambridge

Ekaterina T. (son Ilya)
(17.01.2022)
At MPW, my son Ilya took a foundation preparatory course. The program is made by the college in conjunction with NCUK University. It was more difficult to enroll than in other institutions for similar programs, the requirements for English were tougher. Here I want to thank our manager in Smapps for helping us with the preparation for the English exam and the interview. In the end, there were no problems with the arrival. The program itself, according to his son, is not easy. I think if they took A-level, it would be easier, because the material is given in 2 years instead of 1 at the foundation. But I did not want to lose time, and, as a result, my son entered and is now studying at the University of Newcastle.

Were at MPW for a study visit last spring. My daughter went to spring camp, and we asked Smapps (they were making the trip) to pick up a few school options for us for the future and organize visits. Not everyone knows about MPW in Cambridge, the college is not as advertised as 2 similar options. And this is its advantage, since the college has a fairly diverse national composition. Strikingly different from what we've seen elsewhere. I liked the staff: very delicately and without boasting they talk about their advantages and the successes of the students. We will consider this option for admission in the future.

Back in 2019, they were puzzled by the search for an educational institution for their daughter. We turned to the Smapse agency for recommendation and selection of schools. The child wanted to study in London or Cambridge, we did not consider other cities. At the consultation, we were advised not to consider London if we wanted to immerse the child in an authentic English-speaking environment. In Cambridge, we were interested in several options, we considered schools of a more classical plan, and modern colleges. The child was more impressed with colleges. Of all the possible options, MPW seemed to us the most pleasant in terms of national composition, in other colleges Asians predominated. My daughter went to school in 2020, while we do not regret the choice, but she still has a year to study.

Language courses, schools and children's language camps Primary and secondary education - private schools Preparation programmes for entering universities - higher education Higher education (after completing accredited programs A-level, IB, High School) - Bachelor, Master, MBA
- we recommend to apply 6-9 months before the start of the course (some camps and schools offer discounts for early booking or for lengthy study programs)

- we recommend to apply one year before the start of the training program,
- some schools have a specific time frame (September-November - please specify an individual school)
- some schools require tests in several stages (UKISET, internal tests of the school: English, mathematics, logics, subjects, interview, some require a personal visit)
- we recommend to apply one year before the start of the program,
- for Foundation and Pathway programs, IELTS and TOEFL certificates are usually required, respectively

- recommended submission one year before the start of the program,
- the deadline normally closes in January, for TOP HEIs and, as a rule, in March in other universities
- for a bachelor, a Foundation or Pathway preparatory program a completed A-level, IB, High School + IELTS / TOEFL are required

Anna is the CIS Regional Manager at MPW College London. Anna is an International University of Nature, Society and Man graduate and has been working in secondary education for more than 12 years. She thinks that reputation and recommendation are important for most schools, but the problem in the rankings is a focus only on the best students. The "average" student often does not receive additional support, which he needs more than an excellent student!
