Clongowes Wood College Summer Camp is a summer program offered by a prestigious school located in a scenic setting, just a half-hour drive from Dublin. During the regular academic year, from September to early June, this school educates boys from junior to high school levels.

In the summer months, Clongowes Wood College's campus hosts an exciting program that focuses on English language learning. The camp welcomes not only local students but also participants from 15 to 27 different nationalities who come here to spend their summer holidays. The diverse mix of cultures among the students, along with qualified staff and native-speaking teachers, creates a positive and enriching atmosphere. The camp offers a range of engaging activities both on and off-campus.

Clongowes Wood College Summer Camp provides a structured language program accessible to all students, regardless of their initial proficiency in English. Upon arrival, all students undergo a brief assessment test, which is used to divide them into small groups of up to 15 participants. Group assignments also take into consideration the age of the students, with the program open to those aged 11 to 17. The curriculum covers all proficiency levels, from A1 to C1, ensuring that each student can expand their language skills effectively, gain confidence in using English in daily life, and make meaningful progress.

Educational process

Upon arrival, students take a language test, according to the results of which they are divided into age and level groups: from A1 to C1. The curriculum is suitable for students of all levels, as it adapts to the needs and successes of a particular group. Every week, teachers will test pupils, monitor their progress and transfer the most active in learning English to the next level - that is, to the next group.

Academic classes are organized on weekdays in the morning and lunchtime. After that, students go to campus events or field trips, which are also organized on weekends.

Perspectives

At the end of the summer program, each pupil receives a certificate confirming the knowledge gained and the existing level of English.
