Bernard M. Baruch College is one of the oldest colleges in the CUNY system, formed by the City University of New York. In 1968, this institution became fully independent and senior among the members of the system. It provides transformative education in the field of art and science, business, public and international relations, creates new knowledge through investment and research.
B.M. Baruch College occupies leading positions in many educational ratings:

Baruch College is located on Lexington Avenue near flatiron and Gramercy Park in Manhattan. As part of this educational institution:

  • Zicklin School of Business is the largest university business school in the country and the only CUNY school that offers business programs.
  • Mildred and George Weissman School of Arts and Sciences provides a comprehensive education in the arts and sciences

The college provides students with temporary education for their children at the Early Learning Center. Children from 2 to 5 years old can stay in the Center while their parent attends classes.

Admission dates and extra charges

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

Reception is held all year round, but the priority dates for submitting applications are:

  • September 15
  • February 1.

Basic requirements for admission:

  • Extract from secondary school/diploma of previous place of study
  • Overall GPA and success in individual subjects
  • Motivation letter essay (recommended)
  • Letters of recommendation (desirable)
  • Evidence of demonstrated leadership and intellectual curiosity (recommended).

Additional conditions for international students:

  • Official English translation of foreign documents
  • TOEFL, IELTS or PTE Score (for students who require an F-1 or J-1 visa), the Duolingo exam is currently accepted as an alternative.

When transferring from another institution, you will need:

  • Overall GPA/GPA for college courses
  • High level of knowledge in one or more subject areas
  • Demonstration of mathematics and English
  • High school grade average or GPA (applies to students who have earned less than 24 college credits)
  • Confirmation of high school graduation.

Baruch College does not take into account the results ofthe ACT/SAT test.
