Review about Adelphi University

Natalia
(20.05.2023)
For the first time, we learned about this university at a consultation at the agency for foreign education SMAPSE. We picked up a university for our son in the New York area, as there was an opportunity to live with relatives. Adelphi, Pace, and another option were recommended to us. We chose between Adelphi and Pace, but Pace's price tag turned out to be unaffordable, and Adelphi was ready to give a partial discount on tuition, since my son had high scores on TOEFL and SAT. I would like to separately thank the manager of Smaps Yulia Nikitchenko for her help with obtaining a discount and supervising the submission of documents to the admissions committee. My son liked the university very much, unfortunately, we still have not had the opportunity to visit him personally and look at the university with our own eyes, we are content with only the photos and videos that he sends. Judging by the photographs, the university has the architecture typical of American universities, in fact, exactly what we imagined. Also, our son plays basketball and regularly takes part in the away performances of the university team, he says that the sport here is at a very good level.

A good level of teaching for adequate money for New York. The teachers here are different. Some are very caring and understanding and are always happy to help, others look rather detached and not particularly interested in students. It all depends on the specific faculty. At the Faculty of Business, the teachers are mostly very understanding and interesting. The food here is not very diverse, and not all canteens are open all the time, but there are many restaurants in the area from where you can order delivery.

The campus is very beautiful and there are many places to hang out. Although many people may doubt admission to this university due to the high cost, I can say that it is quite possible to earn a partial scholarship here. The first year I studied at full cost, in the second I was given 10%. discount on tuition. I really like the professors who teach at my biology department, besides, the university has good laboratories for conducting practical classes. The campus is clean and comfortable. The staff is quite friendly and ready to help if necessary, for all the time there have never been conflicts with anyone.
