The English Language Center (ELC) (English Language Center) has been in operation since 1978. ELC provides an ideal environment for rapid language learning within its programs, and also offers students an extensive range of services to make their stay in the United States the most comfortable and interesting, both culturally and educationally. Today ELC has three large modern language centers in Los Angeles, Boston and Santa Barbara.

Santa Barbara is known all over the world for its exceptional climate, stunning scenery and white sand beaches. Santa Barbara combines the cultural and recreational offerings of a large city with the warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere of a small town. It is here, in a charming, small and friendly city, students can find the perfect balance between studying and relaxing in the fresh air with their school friends.

Education on the ELC program in one of the most popular universities in America during the summer holidays is a guaranteed development of the English language and an unforgettable experience.

ELC offers three accommodation options for students

• in the residence
• in an American family
• full-time education (without accommodation).

Accommodation in a residence on the campus involves double accommodation in modern rooms. Bathrooms - common for two rooms, that is, 4 students divide one bathroom. Students can use the phone at the reception desk for local calls (free of charge) and international calls (with a phone card), as well as laundry services (about $ 1.25 per wash, $ 0.25 per drying). Meals are provided on the basis of a full board from Monday to Friday, half-board on Saturday and breakfast only on Sunday.

Students can also choose the option of living in an American family: in this case they will have to use public transportation to get to the university. All families undergo rigorous selection and are within walking distance of public transport. Living in an American family will enable students to immerse themselves in the culture of the United States and get an excellent language practice.

Full-time education is an opportunity to attend English courses (all classes and extra-curricular activities) for students traveling with the family or residing in the US.

International students have the opportunity to take part in extracurricular activities from Monday to Friday after classes. Afternoon activities are mandatory and included in the cost of the program, evening and Saturday events are always optional, but are offered to all students.

Students can choose a different afternoon program of activities each week.

When choosing a classical program, students will be able to enjoy the variety that the city offers in various cultural, sporting, sightseeing and trade events:

Training surfing is carried out for an additional fee: this area is ideal for students who want to learn surfing in the waters off the coast of Santa Barbara, which is famous for its mild temperatures and large waves. Classes include vocational training and other exciting outdoor activities:

• Volleyball
• Beach games.

The research program is ideal for students who want to see the amazing untouched nature of Santa Barbara through cycling tours and hiking.

In the evening, students will be able to visit the disco, bowling, visit the Night of Cinema, take part in a show of talents or a variety of sports events, and do shopping.

On weekends students will be able to enjoy one of the most interesting excursions:
