BBA, BAIR

The Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts in International Relations degrees are designed for three years. UBIS BBA offers innovative methodologies implemented in small groups (20 students) working on a real project (projects of their own students).

UBIS offers students a unique experience, the ability to participate in a secure, personalized academic learning environment, while maintaining the flexibility, convenience of immersive online courses throughout the program.

Students have the opportunity to take face-to-face courses at the technology campus while enjoying the freedom to travel the world or study from the comfort of their own home through the online learning platform UBIS.

Students use the UBIS mobility program, which gives the opportunity to complete one or more semesters at a partner school. Students can obtain a double Swiss / American diploma, which is issued jointly with the University of Washington, Potomac.

MBA and MAIR

The Master in Business Administration (MBA) program provides the necessary skills to take on leadership positions in the world of corporate business. Graduates successfully continue their careers in the private sector, public administration, international organizations, and NGOs. To earn a dual MBA / EMBA, you need to complete 90 ECTS credits.

Program structure:

  • 10 core courses
  • 6 advanced courses (management, marketing, banking and finance, digital entrepreneurship, international business, sustainability and business ethics)
  • 1 Capstone project.

The Master of Arts in International Relations (MA-IR) combines courses in international relations, international business. This combination provides the deep knowledge, managerial skills required for any leadership position.

The UBIS student team helps students to book a shared or private room in a student residence in Geneva, at the request of students, offers a number of agencies for moving or finding a room in a private apartment. The student service helps to find accommodation within walking distance of campus. In Geneva, public transport is well developed, bike rental is available, so getting to the campus is easy.

Facilities and equipment at University of Business & International Studies UBIS Geneva

The Geneva UBIS campus is located in the city center close to the United Nations in Geneva, the headquarters of banks, corporations and international organizations, including the WTO, the Global Fund. The campus is located 3 minutes from Lake Leman, 2 minutes from the Botanical Gardens of Geneva.

The classrooms are spacious, well equipped, have natural and artificial lighting, a stable internet connection, a recreation room, a small library, and a kitchen. There are cafes, kiosks, supermarkets, restaurants near the campus.

UBIS students have access to the sports facilities of Geneva at special discounts:

Admission dates and extra charges

UBIS operates for three terms of 16 weeks a year, with each trimester divided into two 8-week modules.

There are several payments to be made at the start of your studies: health insurance payments, first semester tuition fees, first rent (usually includes a mandatory deposit), medical examination bill for international students.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

  • Proof of Identity - Scanned version of the 1st page of an ID card or passport
  • Motivation letter of 250 words.

Masters provide an application + documents:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Academic transcript, diploma
  • English language test (TOEFL, IELTS)
  • Resume describing professional, academic experience
  • Scanned version of the 1st page of the ID card, passport

Future doctoral students provide:

  • Online application, being interviewed by the admissions committee
  • Submit scanned images (front and back) of government issued ID
  • Master's degree or equivalent
  • IELTS or TOEFL test results
  • Motivation letter (250 words)
  • Description of professional and academic experience
  • A letter of recommendation from the previous educational institution of the candidate or employer
  • Bank statement with the amount.
  • Proof of English proficiency.

International students may submit official transcripts of the successful completion of coursework at an accredited high school or SEVP certified English school. Another option is to pass any of the approved qualifying exams, meet the minimum requirements:

  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) - 6.0
  • PTE (Pearson Test of English) - 67 (minimum 56 in each of the "Communication Skills" sections)
  • CPE (Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency) - Grade B
  • CAE (Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English) - A grade
  • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - 75 (Internet).

TOEFL test results are valid for 2 years after the test date.

UBIS is a small private university with limited funding, but according to the policy of the university, every student deserves an education, so UBIS strives to help as many students as possible.

Recommendations on when to apply

- we recommend to apply 6-9 months before the start of the course (some camps and schools offer discounts for early booking or for lengthy study programs)
- there are some very popular and high demand children's camps, where the applications need to be submitted 1 year in advance (in particular Switzerland , Great Britain , USA , Canada , Austria)
- we recommend to apply one year before the start of the training program,
- some schools have a specific time frame (September-November - please specify an individual school)
- some schools require tests in several stages (UKISET, internal tests of the school: English, mathematics, logics, subjects, interview, some require a personal visit)
