Undergraduate programs at SSBM's Geneva campus offer a broad, balanced foundation for growth as future business leaders. They are offered in two directions:

  • Business Administration,
  • Creative Business Management.

Academic studies can be supplemented with a two-year internship, the place for which will be offered by specialists of the career department.

Each of the specializations will allow students to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to work in enterprises of all sizes: from multinational companies to compact start-ups.

Bachelor's Online-Programs

In the online format, students can earn a bachelor's degree in one of several specialties:

SSBM offers a full-time Master's degree program in one specialization – Global Business. The training will take 18 months, during which students will receive in-depth professional knowledge, skills necessary to understand the problems of management and leadership in a global context.

The curriculum includes 10 courses, for which you can get 90 ECTS credits:

Those wishing to create a career as a business leader are offered a range of MBA programs organized at the SSBM campus in Geneva. There are five course formats available to students, designed to provide flexibility in the acquisition of knowledge:

  • Global MBA – will help you prepare for top-level leadership positions,
  • Executive MBA is aimed at managers with many years of experience,
  • Flex MBA is a combination of 30% face-to-face and 70% online classes. An ideal program for working professionals who require up-to-date knowledge,
  • Mixed MBA is a combination of 70% face-to-face and 30% online classes aimed at transferring modern methods, knowledge, approaches in business spheres,
  • The MBA in International Sports Law is a specialized online course specializing in senior executives.

Each program lasts for one year, will allow you to obtain 60 academic credits of ECTS and a qualified MBA degree. Developed in collaboration with more than 20 respected business and industry partners, the courses integrate seamlessly into professional life, providing high-quality education. MBA Online-Programs

Students can obtain an MBA degree in business administration remotely. Several specialized programs are offered for study, each of which lasts for 12 months:

  • Global MBA is an abbreviated standard MBA program with a more dynamic approach,
  • Executive MBA is focused on the development of the performance aspects of the student's personality,
  • International Executive MBA – a free choice of 40 thematic courses to create an individual study plan,

SSBM offers two types of Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree programs:

  • Dissertation

The purpose of this professional doctorate in business administration is to provide participants with the opportunity to make a significant contribution to both theory and practice in the field, to develop professional activities at the highest level.

  • Investigations

The course will help students enter the academic world with the aim of publishing research papers in various academic journals and conferences.

The duration of training in both formats will be two years. Students will engage in research activities on a topic of interest to them, with the support of researchers and teachers.

Doctorate Online-Programs

  • Age — from 23 years old,
  • The duration of the training is two years.

Online Doctor of Business Administration degrees are available in two formats: Standard Diploma and DBA Dual Degree Programs.

Programs available for online study:

  • Internet Database Administrator (dissertation),
  • Global Database Administrator,

Students will be engaged in research activities under the guidance of a personal mentor, teachers, and researchers. At the end of the two-year study, each successful PhD will receive a well-deserved degree that is fully accredited and recognized worldwide.

Summer Academy

  • Dates: July,
  • The duration of the training is from one week.

The SSBM Summer Academy welcomes students from all over the world, offering exceptional quality education with a personal touch on a stunning campus on the shores of Lake Geneva. Students in summer programs enjoy excellent facilities, a green oasis, and stunning views from the classrooms. 

All students will be enrolled in an academic and extracurricular diversity program that includes outdoor activities, water sports, mountain hikes, team games and competitions, field trips, dynamic business and leadership classes to help them make the most of their summer.

In July, three programs are held on the school's campus:

  • Youth Business Camp is an educational and entertainment program specializing in the business field,
  • Intensive English Course,
  • Summer IT Camp — Study of Computer Science.

All pupils will be offered an intensive program of activities, entertainment in the afternoon, evening and on weekends. In addition, the SSBM team can offer participants additional private classes that take place from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Many services are already included in the cost of the courses, including meals, activities, transfers.

MBA-Online, Online MBA Programs

The SSBM online platform offers students the opportunity to earn an MBA degree completely remotely. There are several specialties to choose from:

  • Global MBA: Innovation, Leadership & Executive Board

The program consists of several directions. Some of the topics include the study of artificial intelligence, supporting cultural transformation, the rapid growth of data, enhancing human values, automation, ethical issues for leaders and businesses. The curriculum includes 10 core courses taught by experts from more than 20 organizations — industry and business partners.

  • Executive MBA

This program is similar in structure to the Global MBA curriculum, but includes 12 required courses, which provides a more in-depth study of the specialty.

  • International Executive MBA

With more than 10 core subjects taught by experienced, qualified teachers, this course is ideal for international learners whose English is not their first language.

  • UK MBA

Through this program, students can earn an MBA from a UK university. The diploma is issued at the University of West London, validated and awarded by a UK university, and in addition to it, SSBM awards students with a Swiss diploma certified and accredited by EduQua and ACBSP.

  • Sports Management

An MBA in Sports Management is a program that studies the fundamentals of management relevant to the sports industry. Students will learn how to develop different strategies and predict change, optimize resources and assess the situation sensibly, adapt quickly and solve complex issues. The MBA in Sports Management is suitable for former and current athletes who would like to pursue a diploma to enhance their professional career, as well as professionals working in the business field who wish to specialize in the sports field.

  • Data science.

The MBA in Data Science degree is designed for managers and leaders who want to explore the world of data, artificial intelligence, machine learning. The program is not based on complex statistical or mathematical data, but helps students understand the basics, understand how data science works, and what artificial intelligence is. The curriculum focuses on four key areas: Data Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Business Acceleration. Students will have to take several required courses with the opportunity to supplement them with electives and online webinars.

Accommodation, meals, prices

A team of staff will support students in finding suitable accommodation by providing information, advice and a list of vetted landlords. When planning a move to Geneva, it is always worth remembering that this city is one of the most expensive in the world: the monthly cost of a room can exceed €1000, and a room in a shared apartment can exceed €1200. However, there are other options for a comfortable stay that will help you save money:

  • Renting an apartment is quite an expensive option, but it can be divided among several students. The business school has a variety of partner agents who will be happy to help by offering convenient options,
  • Student Residences – offer different types of accommodation. The price usually starts from 600€ and up.  Another important condition when renting a room in a residence is the need to apply at least six months in advance,
  • Living with a host family is another great accommodation option for those who would like to experience the Swiss way of life, learn languages as quickly as possible.

SSBM itself does not provide accommodation on campus.

Volunteering at SSBM is not just an opportunity: it is a commitment to the impact of society, shared values, based on the belief that positive change starts from within. The volunteering program in Geneva engages students, alumni, and faculty in a collective effort to give back to society.   • Raising funds through the sale of greeting cards, aimed at buying gifts for children who spend long months in the City Hospital of Geneva,

  • Helping socially vulnerable children in Croatia.

The Student Council is the main student body, responsible for most activities. Events such as:

Admission dates and extra charges

The dates of the academic year vary depending on the chosen program. The campus is open almost all year round, without organizing classes only on national and international holidays and standard weekends. Taking online courses also has unique class dates, while the curriculum is quite flexible, so it adjusts to the goals and pace of the student's learning.

An approximate list of additional costs:

Enrolment process

Future students will have to go through several registration stages:

Admission to online programs is much easier: the candidate needs to fill out an online application and wait for admission, which consists of providing access to a personal online account.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

International applicants applying for undergraduate programs should provide:

  • Certificate of completion of upper secondary education, evaluation certificates, exam results,
  • At least one year of work experience in a commercial environment or completion of a one-year career development program,
  • Certificate confirming the level of English proficiency: TOEFL IBT (from 90), IELTS (from 6.5) or equivalent,
  • A summary that takes into account the previous successes of different areas,
  • Personal documents: passport, health insurance, visa or residence permit, one passport-size photo.

Future Master's students need to meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized university or its equivalent, transcripts of grades,
  • Personal CV with academic, extracurricular successes and achievements,
  • Personal documents: passport, health insurance, visa or residence permit, one passport-size photo,
  • Certificate confirming the level of English proficiency: TOEFL, IELTS or Cambridge.

For admission to MBA programs, a master's degree in management with at least two years of experience is required.

Admission to doctoral specializations is based on the following criteria:

  • MBA or equivalent qualification from a recognised higher education institution,
  • Master's degree in management with at least two years of professional experience/Master's degree in a field other than management but with at least five years of professional experience,
  • Transcripts of grades,
  • Personal CV,
  • Personal documents: passport, health insurance, visa or residence permit, one passport-size photo.

Scholarships Swiss School of Business and Management Geneva (SSBM)

SSBM has a scholarship fund open to all students. Funding is possible in the form of tuition discounts, scholarships, grants. 

Some of the ways you can get a discount:

  • One-time payment for a year of study — 10%,
  • The average score for a completed bachelor's and master's program is from 3.5 to 5 — from 5 to 15%,
  • Discount for graduates wishing to continue their education – 5%,

The school offers a wide range of scholarships to help cover tuition and other expenses: These scholarships are designed to support academic excellence, financial need, unique talents, and interests, ensuring that financial barriers do not interfere with education. In emergency situations, SSBM offers emergency grants, flexible payment plans,  financial counseling services to help the student in times of need.

Some scholarships that recognize a student's exceptional academic ability cover part or all of the cost of study: 30, 50, or 100%. In addition, for financial convenience, SSBM provides installment payments, which allows you to spread the cost of the program over monthly installments. This approach increases financial flexibility by making it easier to budget and pay for academic classes.
