The oldest DMA instructors work on campus - they share their knowledge, experience, help students with the implementation of their projects. 3D Modeling & Animation Academy

The course will allow you to become a versatile 3D-artist, able to use software for gaming, cinema, TV modeling. Students will develop an understanding of the process of storytelling, character animation using standard 3D Autodesk Maya software.

The skills of 3D design, modeling open the door to all kinds of modern creative careers. 3D modeling course with Maya includes the study of workflows used by professionals, development, formation of 3D models, original 3D props, sets of figures, characters, basics of character design.

Using Autodesk Maya, young people will learn how to animate characters using lighting, settings, camera angles, workflows, take pre-mounted models, and animate them in an original short sequence telling a story.

The curriculum includes:

The gaming industry continues to be a popular talent application for young people. Digital Media Academy gives students the opportunity to become the creators of digital media, develop their own games, gain virtual reality experience, and achieve significant achievements in this area. Using the standard game development environment, students will design their own game, learn how to use the Unity editor to develop levels, environments, program mechanics using C #, and simultaneously run several managed projects. Young people will work together or independently, work with assets, mechanics of their choice.

Participants will learn how to best use the Unity game development engine, solve unique design problems that arise when developing virtual, augmented reality, learn how the game engine controls everything from moving platforms to artificial intelligence, and learn the basics of C # programming.

Audio & Music Production introduces professional music production, teaches you to use the most important tools in the industry - Ableton Live. Teenagers will learn sounds, layers, mixing, sampling, will program their digital music. An introduction to music production with Ableton helps students structure the song, recreate the sounds they hear, write unique tracks. Topics covered include recording, audio sampling, an advanced synthesizer, drum programming, improvisation, mixing basics, mastering. The program allows you to understand the process of music production, the basic theory, writing skills, to study advanced methods of music production, audio technology. By the end of the week, young people will compose, produce their own song, apply advanced concepts of music production.

Filmmaking academy

Filmmaking Academy helps to study the film-making process using high-quality cameras Canon, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects. Each week ends with a film showing the class, staff, parents.

The course begins with the basic principles of a short narrative film production: script structure, functionality, camera operation, description of roles. Young people will learn teamwork, learn how to make storyboards, direct, edit, upload the completed project to their own YouTube channel.

Students will learn the design of captions, the basic VFX Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, begin to work on their short project. Students will develop film projects of various genres, including narration, music video, documentary films, and will leave the course with several completed videos.

Robotics & Engineering Academy

Robotics & Engineering teaches to design, program a robot using Arduino, a pi-top laptop using Python, they will take it home. The course introduces the world of robotics, electrical engineering, allows students to move from basic programming concepts, electronic circuits to creating a robot, exploring the capabilities of each sensor, actuator by programming the RedBot Arduino platform. Teenagers will master the basics of programming, circuitry, teach students to create their own unique projects using Raspberry Pi, various sensors. Young people will learn the basics of Python, physical computing with Pi, and use the Pi's Internet connection for remote communication.

Teenagers will take home a robot; the laptop they will assemble will be programmed.

Program participants will learn to professionally record music using Ableton, learn all about music production, create their own melody, developing audio production skills.

The course will teach technical, creative skills in the production of electronic music, the basics of music theory, the secrets of a spectacular melody, rhythm, mixing.

Young people will learn how to use professional music software correctly, record their own musical ideas, and will go the way of producing songs from beginning to end. Adventures in animation

Participants in Adventures in Animation will learn how to make animated films using the same processes as the animators Pixar, Cartoon Network, Disney.

Create drawings, bring them to life, using production methods such as timelines, key frames, Toon Boom Harmony software (used to create Sponge Bob and many other popular cartoons). Participants will gain experience in teamwork, meet like-minded people sharing their interests, and learn new methods of animation (clay processing, human animation). After completing the work, students will take home a short animated film.

What students will learn:

  • Basic animation skills, storytelling basics
  • Ability to create "clay" animation, human animation
  • Cartoon drawing techniques

Scholarships Austin Catholic Center Summer Camp

The Nudelman Family Fund provides students with a thousand full scholarships. DMA strives to provide world-class STEM education to interested, motivated students. Half of the scholarships are reserved for girls as part of women's increased access to STEM's high-quality teaching experience.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit, needs, cover the cost of tuition, meals, service fees. Acceptance of applications for receipt ends two weeks before the start date of the selected course.

Candidates fill out an application for a scholarship on the site. To fill out the application you will need the following information:

  • Average mark (after receiving the award you must provide proof of academic achievement)
