Taft School offers effective and comfortable summer academic programs for schoolchildren from around the world aged 13 to 18 years. This is an excellent opportunity to improve academic and linguistic knowledge, to bring them in line with international standards, to adapt to a new cultural, linguistic and educational environment. In addition, summer courses are also a pleasant, interesting pastime, a huge number of leisure activities and excursions, new friends from all over the world!
Taft School was founded more than one hundred years ago. Until now, the main principles of work laid down by its founder Horatius Taft have been observed here: the comprehensive development of each individual, the recognition of its identity and uniqueness, hard work and self-effort.
After completing the chosen course, the student's parents receive a full report from the teachers with a list of his successes and achievements, as well as recommendations for further education and development.

Summer academic courses

Summer academic program is an ideal choice for single-minded, stubborn foreign students planning to study at prestigious schools, colleges and universities in the US and the world. A five-week educational course will help to deepen and update knowledge on the main subjects of the school curriculum, to bring them in line with international standards, to significantly improve the level of English. Students become more stubborn, more confident in their abilities, quickly overcome the language and emotional barrier.
Each student chooses for himself 2 priority and 2 optional subjects: among the most popular one can mention algebra, literature, scientific courses and writing classes.
An approximate schedule for a weekday is as follows:
- 7: 30-7: 45 - breakfast
- 08: 00-9: 30 - the first lesson
- 9: 30-10: 00 - general meeting, break and rest
- 10: 00-11: 30 - the second lesson
- 11: 30-12: 15 - lunch
- 12: 30-13: 10 - the third lesson
- 13: 13-13: 55 - the fourth lesson
- 15: 15-16: 30 - sports and training, active recreation
- 17: 00-18: 00 - dinner
- 18: 00-19: 30 - free time, entertainment on campus
- 13: 30-21: 30 - general evening event
- 22: 15-22: 30 - return to the residence, bedtime and retirement.

The academic course helps to improve academic and linguistic knowledge, to prepare for the passing of the SAT and SSAT profile exams required for admission to American schools, colleges and universities.
At school, special emphasis is placed on the humanities - high school students aged 16-18 can choose for themselves a variety of disciplines in this field. Each student is identified with 2 top-priority subjects and 2 electives. Every day students receive homework (about 2 hours daily) and subjects for personal research.

- Natural sciences: chemistry, physics, biology, ecology
- Art: fine, ceramics and art sculpture, photography, acting
- Preparation for SAT or SSAT exams

- Academic skills: reading, preparation for exams, effective teaching and distribution of own time, public speaking and oratory.
Accommodation, meals, prices
All students of the summer program live in comfortable residences on campus. Teachers, educators and a senior mentor are constantly together with them in the building - they monitor the cleanliness, discipline, order and fully guarantee the safety of children around the clock. Most of the rooms are double rooms, all of them are equipped with necessary furniture and appliances. Meals are organized on a full board basis, three meals a day are provided.

The school's total area covers more than 220 acres - it has everything that children can need for studying, recreation and self-development. The library of the school has more than 56,000 books (as well as methodological and manuals, electronic sources), and the total area of ​​the special Science Center with numerous laboratories reaches 45,000 square feet. On the campus there are two own theaters and two large hockey fields, as well as an 18-hole golf course with professional coverage.
Admission dates and extra charges
Seasonal courses are held on campus From July 1 to August 14 and designed for students from 13 to 18 years. The course price already includes:
