Pupils of 9-12 grades study here on the program High School Diploma, in the USA considered the main course of secondary school education.

The mandatory list of subjects includes:

The program for graduates of secondary schools, for pupils of 11-12 grades is designed for 2 years and pursues the goal of qualitative academic preparation for admission to the selected university.

In total, 6 subjects are studied, which the student chooses independently: 3 of them are studied at the standard level, and 3 - on a more complex, in-depth (the level for each discipline is also determined individually by the student). The personal curriculum should include natural sciences, mathematics and at least two foreign languages, one of which is English. Additionally, students have the opportunity to attend courses typical of the IB direction:

  • TOK (theory of knowledge).

The program will give you the opportunity to visit the campuses of famous American universities:

  • Boston University.

This is a chance to see their campuses in person, get acquainted with the opportunities and conditions, communicate with the admissions committee and real students, and assess your chances of admission. In addition, the program is enriched with walks around Boston, one of the most interesting cities in America:

  • Quincy Market and Faneuil Hall,
  • Beacon Hill,
  • Freedom Trail,
  • Weekend in New York,
  • Visit to Canobie Lake Amusement Park and much more, including activities on campus: sports games and tournaments, quizzes, parties and discos.

Every week, students will have 18 lessons of English (after all, it is impossible to enter without it!), a special seminar on preparation for university/college, 6 tours of university campuses and a rich extracurricular program of entertainment and recreation.

All participants of the summer program live in a cozy residence of the university, surrounded by historical monuments and attractions. The residence offers comfortable rooms for several students, boarding meals.

TOEFL/SAT Summer Preparation Program

  • Students' age: 15+ years old,
  • Duration: 1-3 weeks.

For a foreign student whose native language is not English, passing the international TOEFL or SAT exam is a prerequisite for admission to an English-speaking university. But even the best General English programs will not always be able to pass the exam with a high score, because they focus on general, universal knowledge, often on conversational English.

The TOEFL/SAT preparation program at Newman School gives you the opportunity to bring your level of English in line with the requirements set by American universities and colleges. With this preparation, you will not only significantly deepen your knowledge – you will prepare for a specific test to pass it with a high score and open the doors to American higher education. The Preparatory Summer Course is an effective combination of classroom classes, conversational workshops, and inspiring visits to the campuses of the best American universities: Harvard University, MIT, UMass Boston, Tufts University. Every week, students will have 18 English lessons, 1 seminar to prepare for enrollment, 4 visits to university campuses, and a rich extracurricular program at the camp: parties, discos, games, quizzes, sports tournaments and much more.

The program is complemented by walks around Boston, which give you the opportunity to get to know one of the iconic cities of the United States better:

In their free time, students will not be bored! In the Newman school Boston, an interesting, diverse extra-curricular program has been thought out, an important place in which the sport takes its place. Students attend training in lacrosse, sailing, athletics, baseball, you can play tennis and softball, football, learn to row. School teams regularly participate in competitions of city, regional and national level and demonstrate an excellent level of training.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

Applicants must provide the Admission Board with a score sheet from the previous school for the last 2 years, recommendations from teachers and the class teacher (at will and from the director), and demonstrate a sufficiently high level of the English language (the results of internationally recognized TOEFL tests, TOEFL Junior, IELTS or iTEP SLATE). Also, each person is waiting for a personal interview (you can get an interview on Skype), additionally you will need to provide a medical card and a list of vaccinations made.
