Family Summer Course in English Explorer Tour

A family course will allow schoolchildren and their parents to visit the most interesting and unique places in England and Scotland. Starting from London, the group will go to the Lake District and Edinburgh, visit Lake Lomond and York and return to London. This is a great opportunity for a family trip, to get acquainted with the legendary sights of Great Britain and to improve the level of English!

The program is available for students aged 14-18 and their parents. The cost of the course includes:

  • All transfers between cities, a return flight (Heathrow Airport, London)
  • Comfortable buses for crossings: spacious soft armchairs, air conditioners
  • Accommodation in three-star hotels all the way (7 nights): double rooms with bathroom
  • Three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Tickets and passes during the trip: on a boat cruise, to the Cathedral of York, Edinburgh Castle, etc.
  • Escorted by an experienced guide and teachers.

It is paid additionally and does not enter into the price:

  • Extra charge for individual accommodation;
  • Air tickets in both directions;
  • Medical insurance;
  • Visa fees and services, translation and certification of documents;
  • Consular fee (paid at the embassy);

Accommodation, meals, prices

At the school there are several options for accommodation. 

  • London Central Residence 

It accepts students all year round. There are 44 comfortable rooms on 4 floors. Standard accommodation involves the joint use of sanitary rooms (1 bathroom and shower for 5-6 people). To services of students in a residence a laundry, kitchen, a dining room, a rest room are offered. Half board meals are organized (breakfast is also possible).

  • Somerset Court Residence 

It is located 15 minutes walk from the main school building, there are separate rooms of comfortable apartments. In each there are 5-6 students. Meals are not provided. You can cook in an equipped common kitchen.

  • Frances Gardner House

It's a summer residence that offers accommodation in rooms with private facilities. Kitchen is common for 5 - 8 rooms. The food is organized according to the principle of self-service. 

  • Family accommodation

It allows to better learn British culture, to become immersed into the language environment. Apartments of host families are usually located in half an hour's drive from the school. Students are offered separate rooms with private bathroom or without. Meals can be served on a half-board basis or only breakfast.

In addition, the school recommends its students to visit most famous museums, galleries in London, and to explore architectural monuments. Also, students have excursions to university cities - Cambridge, Birmingham, Oxford and others.
