IELTS Preparation (Подготовка к IELTS)

This course is aimed at effective preparation for obtaining a certificate from one of the most important English language proficiency exams – IELTS. This qualification is necessary for students wishing to enroll in English-speaking universities.

The program is flexible and provides students with the opportunity to customize the curriculum to suit their wishes and goals. The duration of the course varies from 1 to 24 weeks or more if the student needs additional classes. Number of weekly group meetings: 15, 20 or 25 hours in classes of 7-12 people.

The basis of IELTS Preparation is the development of English language skills: competent speech and writing, vocabulary replenishment, fluent speaking and easy listening comprehension. Students regularly train on test tasks, attend individual consultations with teachers and, both independently and with a mentor, monitor their academic progress.

General English (General English Course)

  • Start dates are every Monday throughout the year,
  • The duration of training is from 1 to 24 weeks or more.

Students wishing to improve their language skills are offered a flexible General English course, which allows them to create an individual curriculum that meets the goals and wishes of the student. The structure of the program is suitable for anyone, as it fully adapts to personal academic goals - the duration of training and the number of classes can be adjusted independently. In addition, the course has regular weekly days to admit new students, which makes it easier.

The student can choose 15, 20 or 25 hours of lessons per week, which will take place in groups of 7-12 people. Teachers provide one-on-one counseling and mentoring if a student wants to learn in a more effective and intensive format. All lessons are based on training the skills of reading, writing, pronunciation and listening comprehension of the English language. In addition to the learning materials provided in the classroom, an online platform with a personal account is added. In it, students can "attend" conferences, communicate with the teacher, track their progress and receive personalized advice.

Intensive English Diploma

  • Age - from 16 years,
  • Level of linguistics - A1-A2,
  • Start dates are every Monday throughout the year,
  • The duration of training is from 1 to 24 weeks or more.

The intensive English program is specialized in achieving academic goals quickly and efficiently. Students can choose the duration of study and the number of daily classes, adapting the curriculum for themselves.

Classes of up to 12 people will have classes in reading, grammar and writing, listening and speaking. Students also use the knowledge gained outside the classroom: when communicating with friends, mentors, on excursions and during events. The basis of the course is practice, which quickly consolidates the received academic material and contributes to the development of confidence in speaking.

Teachers pay a sufficient amount of individual attention in the classroom, provide the opportunity for personal consultations -this approach will help students achieve their goals in a short time.

Training takes place according to educational materials in the classroom and on an online platform - in the personal account that each student has: information about academic progress, personalized advice from teachers, and recordings of group conferences are stored there.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Students are offered several accommodation options: comfortable residences, accommodation in host families.

Two modern residences are located near the campus:

  • Drapery Place (from 18 years old) is a residence near the Aldgate East metro station, accommodating students in single rooms with double beds and bathrooms. Common are a gym, dance studio, self-study classes and laundry facilities. In the courtyard there is a small garden in which students can spend their free time. Residents are not provided with meals, but they can use the shared kitchens to prepare their own meals.  The cost of living is £440 per week.
  • Vita Lewisham Exchange (from 18 years old) is a residential complex located in the heart of Lewisham offering single rooms with double beds and private bathrooms. Residents use common areas: a gym with a yoga and dance studio, a games room, a dining room and a kitchen, recreation and self-study areas, a laundry. The location of the complex is ideal for those who would like to be closer to the lively city life - near the building there are cafes and restaurants, a railway station, markets and parks. The campus is about 28 minutes away. Accommodation will cost students £375 per week or £360 if the student stays in education for more than 12 weeks.

Students who have not yet reached the age of 18 have one option available - the houses of host families. It's a great way to get to know the lives of locals, practice your language skills regularly, and live in a cozy, caring atmosphere. All families undergo regular inspection and accreditation, cooperate with the school for many years, providing accommodation of a high standard. Students occupy single rooms. Upon request, the staff will find families who are willing to provide a double room if the child is traveling with an acquaintance who is suitable for his age and gender.

Host families provide daily meals in two formats: only breakfasts or breakfasts + dinners. The weekly price of accommodation depends on this choice:

  • Breakfast only - 220 £,
  • Breakfasts and dinners - 305 £,
  • Special diet menu - a supplement to the selected type of 30 £,
  • Breakfasts, dinners and a private bathroom — 360 £.

From the family home to the campus, the journey will take up to 60 minutes by metro.

Activities Bell School London Language School

Students have many options for leisure due to the excellent location of the school: theaters, museums, art galleries, restaurants and cafes, entertainment venues are located in easy access. Students can travel by public transport: buses, trains, subways.

In their free time, collective events are held on campus: discos, seminars of invited specialists, meetings of the speaking club, evenings of intellectual games and much more.

Facilities and equipment at Bell School London Language School

Located on the banks of the Thames, just a few minutes walk from many famous attractions, the London School campus offers modern infrastructure and comfortable areas for both study and recreation. On the territory are equipped:

  • 12 classrooms with interactive whiteboards,
  • Self-service kitchen, dining room,
  • Educational and social zone for independent work, recreation and communication,
  • Computer room,
  • Advisory Service for Higher Education.

All rooms are air-conditioned and free Wi-Fi.

School staff will help students get to campus by arranging a private taxi transfer from London airports and train stations (for an additional fee).

Admission dates and extra charges

All London School courses are flexible and available at any time of the year. Students study according to an individual plan, which is based on the desired duration of the program, the number of classes and intensity.

Approximate list of additional costs:

  • One-to-one lessons – £90 per hour,
  • Accommodation and meals,
  • Surcharge for the tourist season (June 25-August 5) - 25 or 35 £ depending on the type of accommodation,
  • Laundry in the dormitory - £ 3.50 for washing and £ 1.70 for drying,
  • Taxi transfers (Gatwick, Heathrow, Stansted, Luton, London City, Central London) - from 125 to 265 £ one way,
  • The IELTS exam fee is £180.

Enrolment process

Enrollment of applicants is organized in a remote format. Those wishing to undergo education go through several stages:

  • Filling out an online form with the provision of personal documents,
  • Receiving an invitation to an introductory language test,
  • Registration in the residence (if necessary),
  • Distribution into groups and the beginning of education.

Students receive competitive knowledge that allows them to continue their education in leading institutions in English-speaking countries, obtain a long-term visa or work in local organizations.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

General requirements for admission to any of the courses:

  • Age - from 16 years,
  • Personal documents: passport, visa or residence permit in England, health insurance and vaccination certificate.

The programs also set criteria for the admission of new students according to the level of English:

  • IELTS preparation program - not lower than B1,
  • General English and Intensive English courses - from A2.

Admission to the program takes place every Monday throughout the year, excluding holidays.
