General English Plus Explore London

This course is aimed at learning English in everyday life in various situations. In addition to the standard lessons in the class of children and teenagers, an interactive cultural and entertainment program awaits you, which includes 5 sightseeing trips a week to famous London attractions and evening activities.

Training takes place in the morning (from 9.00 to 12.00). In a week students attend 15 hours of English, during which they significantly improve speaking, writing, listening and reading skills. During the course, children will gain confidence in themselves and their abilities. Students will be able to learn the language at numerous excursions, including children can visit Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace, etc.

King's College London Summer BSC has great courts for these purposes, and students are led by qualified instructors from the LTA Tennis Association. The curriculum of the course is structured as follows: common language lessons (15 hours a week) + three tennis trainings (6 hours a week). In English lessons, students work with all the main sections of the language (speech, writing, reading, listening), study vocabulary and grammar. In tennis, students can master both basic skills and improve the level of the game, if any skills are already there.

General English

  • 1 lesson = 50 minutes.

The flagship, basic course is suitable for students with any level of knowledge. A balanced schedule provides effective and at the same time comfortable learning: in classes (up to 14 people each) students with a similar level of available training, which is determined by entrance testing.

The General English program allows you to work out all the main language skills and sections:

  • Reading
  • Listening comprehension (listening comprehension of English),
  • Grammar
  • Vocabulary (vocabulary, including idioms and common expressions),
  • Oral speech (fluency, literacy),
  • Phonetics: accent correction, fluency, correct pronunciation.

The materials for the classes were specially developed by National Geographic Learning for the language school, focusing on grammar and vocabulary. Classes are built in a communicative way, with an emphasis on speaking, so that you overcome the language barrier as soon as possible and speak English fluently in any company and situation.  

You can choose the intensity of the lessons yourself:

  • 20 lessons (16.6 hours per week),
  • 25 lessons = 20.8 hours,
  • 30 lessons = 35 hours weekly.

The course is aimed at improving the level of English and developing the student's horizons, critical thinking, social and personal skills. The specialized, interdisciplinary program teaches students to solve complex problems by applying knowledge and skills from a variety of subjects in the arts, sciences, and humanities. During their stay at the camp, students will cover topics such as:

Performing Arts Course

A summer program focused on the performing arts will give students the opportunity to improve their skills in drama and dance at the Sylvia Young School of Theatre. Thanks to daily seminars, classes under the guidance of experienced trainers, students will gain an unforgettable experience, excellent skills, and hone their skills.

Along with effective training, the study of aspects of the performing arts, students have the opportunity to improve their level of English. Speaking practice is organized daily: in the classroom, when communicating with classmates and teachers, during campus events and field trips.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Kings College places its students in a student residence in rooms for 1-3 people. The residence is located 15 minutes from the campus of the college. Meals are provided on the basis of a full board, which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. At the request of the pupils, the menu can be replaced by a diet menu.
