Gymnasium Lindenberg is located in the south of Germany, in the famous Bavarian region in the spa town of Lindenberg. The successful territorial location - between the alpine slopes and the picturesque lake of Constanta - offers ample opportunities for travel, excursions and hikes, provides a mild and favourable climate. Approximately half an hour will take the road to the state border with Austria and Switzerland, expanding opportunities for international tourism and excursions. The distance to the international airport of Munich is 200 kilometers, to Zurich - about 150, and to Frankfurt - 400 kilometers.
Gymnasium studying consists of balanced individual and group classes - the organization of the educational process here at an altitude, which is promoted by close cooperation with the Humboldt-Institute, a large and well-known educational organization.
Teachers and educators of Gymnasium Lindenberg strive to develop a sense of mutual respect and tolerance in schoolchildren, responsibility (social and personal), the ability to adequately assess their own abilities and surrounding circumstances. Brief information: The nationwide secondary education program gives students the opportunity to receive a prestigious certificate of the same name - it is considered to be the equivalent to the British A-level sample and is issued after the completion of grammar classes (from 5 to 12). Abitur bears testimony to the academic, creative and athletic performance of each student and gives an opportunity to enroll in a German university or higher school for a chosen specialty, continue studying in the country.
The whole program is conducted in German, but the study of other language is given great attention. As the first foreign language is usually studied English and the second can be:

For the students of the Gymnasium Lindenberg, cozy rooms are prepared - mostly they are double rooms, but high school students can occupy separate, private bedrooms. The residence is located just a few minutes walk from the main building, in a cozy green park. Meals are organized on the principle of a full board, three times a day. The academic year lasts from August 30 to July 16. The academic year is divided into 3 terms:
- From 6 September;
- From 7 January;

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
For admission to the Gymnasium Lindenberg, you should take care in advance of obtaining a student visa and collecting the necessary documents (at least one month in advance). It will be necessary to provide a report card with grades from the previous place of study (the average score is not lower than the average), and also to demonstrate a sufficiently high level of the German language (from B2).
If the level of the German language or academic knowledge is insufficient, the child is encouraged to take an effective preparatory course at the Humboldt Institutions (Lindenberg or Bad Schussenried). In just 6 months you can raise the language level practically from scratch to the required B2 thanks to qualified teachers, balanced curriculums and full immersion in the language and cultural environment of Germany. After the completion of the preparatory course, the student has the opportunity to enter the main course even in the middle of the academic year.
In order to become a candidate for admission to Gymnasium Lindenberg, the applicant will be required to provide the following information to the admissions office:
- Full name, date of birth;
- School report card with grades, translated into German or English;
- Personal hobbies, interests, certificates of success in academic, sporting, creative activities;
- Letters of recommendation from previous teachers translated into English or German;
- Personal written motivation letter In English or German.
It is also required to:
- Indicate (or approximately) the annual or monthly studying budget;
- Select the priority region for education in Germany.

Usually, foreign students begin the process of studying in Germany with the Humboldt-Institute language courses (the German academic program for the year): in this case, the selected secondary schools receive full reports on the student's successes and achievements, his behavior in the classroom, the degree of involvement in school extra-curricular activities. After the preparatory language course is completed and all formalities are settled, the student goes for basic studying to the boarding school he has chosen.
