Intensive English Course

The program is specially designed to help students in the shortest possible time to improve the basic skills in English - reading, listening, speaking and writing. Students significantly expand their vocabulary, study grammar, increase fluency and literacy of speech, due to which they become more confident, more fluent in speaking and writing in English.

The program is based on the principles of integrated learning, which, in the best traditions of the XXI century, are set up for cooperation, critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills.

The course provides several options/options:

  • Intensive Course (basic version),
  • Intensive Plus Speaking Skills, 26 lessons per week. Admission requirements: Pre-intermediate (A2), Intermediate (B1), Upper-Intermediate (B2), not lower. To the 20 standard lessons, 6 afternoon lessons per week are added, aimed at the active development of conversational skills: fluency, literacy, vocabulary (including idioms), accent correction, freedom of speech and removal of the language barrier.
  • Intensive Plus Business, 26 lessons per week. Admission requirements: Upper-Intermediate (B2). Thematic afternoon classes (6 per week) may cover the language of business meetings or negotiations, presentations and reports, marketing and advertising strategies, etiquette of e-mail correspondence or telephone conversations, etc.
  • Intensive Plus English for Academic Purposes (EAP), 26 lessons per week. Admission requirements: Upper-Intermediate (B2). An enhanced course for students who are preparing for admission to foreign universities and already have a strong level of English. Academic English will help to upgrade special language areas and skills, significantly expand vocabulary (including terminological). 6 afternoon lessons per week can focus on academic reading, critical thinking development, presentation/research skills, academic listening and note-taking, writing essays/reports/reviews, effective participation in workshops and seminars, etc.

To prepare students for the IELTS exam, the language school invites experienced, qualified teachers who work out curricula and strategies specifically to ensure that the IELTS exam is easy and with the highest possible score. In addition to intensive classes covering all language skills and knowledge, the program includes regular tests - mock exams: they will help you get acquainted with the structure of the exam, the number and order of its blocks. This will help reduce anxiety and stress, show what you need to pay close attention to each individual student.

Intensive Plus IELTS Preparation

Academic English

Long-term academic English courses are presented in two formats.

Pre-Sessional Foundation Programme

  • Students age: from 17 years old,
  • Minimum duration: 3, 6 or 9 months,
  • Classes of up to 14 people, usually no more than 9 (afternoon lessons - no more than 6),
  • Intensity: 20-26 lessons weekly (each = 60 minutes),
  • Start level: from A2 (IELTS 3.5).

A course for students who want to enroll in an English-speaking university abroad after graduating from high school in their home country. If you already have a base of English, but you need to deepen and improve it, including in the academic direction, then the Pre-Sessional Foundation Program is perfect for you. The expected result by the end of the course is IELTS from 5.0 and full readiness to study at the university.

This course of the Palmerston Park Dublin language school is valuable because it was specially designed according to the recommendations and requirements of partners - higher schools and universities. An academic program that combines an English language course at Palmerston Park Dublin (12 weeks) and a semester at a partner Irish university, Maynooth University. The facilities here are: rooms for 1-2 people with private bathrooms / apartments with kitchen and living room. All students have access to 24/7 laundry, security, on-site store, WiFi.

Year-round residences

For students who come for year-round courses, outside the summer season, the language school individually selects suitable options from city residences, hotels, apartments and apartments. The campus occupies a beautifully landscaped garden in Palmerston Park: it is one of the oldest public parks in the city. It is a peaceful and picturesque place to study, relax and walk.

The campus has excellent transportation links to all parts of the city, making travel, transfers and excursions easy. You can get to the city center by streetcar in just 6 minutes (stop near the school) or 15 minutes on foot, to Alexandra College Women's Residence in 5 minutes, to St. Raphaela's in 20 minutes, and a trip to Dublin International Airport will take no more than 25-30 minutes. Host family homes are also selected so that students do not have to spend a lot of time traveling to their studies.

The language school is well equipped for efficient and comfortable classes. There are 22 cozy and bright classrooms with a beautiful view of the park, a large cafe canteen and coffee station, WiFi throughout, reading and self-study rooms, common spaces-lounges for socializing and relaxing (including a private enclosed terrace garden).
