Accommodation, meals, prices

The hostel is intended for first-year students and offers the opportunity to live with peers, completely immerse yourself in the community of artists and designers. Thanks to several lounge areas, students have the opportunity to communicate, meet people they would never have met.

Park West Apartments are conveniently located across the street from campus. Students are accommodated here with other Otis College students in apartments. Living at Park West allows students to take on more responsibilities (such as cooking).

The Otis College of Art and Design is one of Southern California's most coveted communities. Students live on campus with many restaurants, shops within walking distance of the beach.

Activities Otis College of Art and Design

Student Activities Management offers programs and activities that stimulate creativity and facilitate student learning together. The activities are aimed at building community, opportunities for leadership, protecting the interests of students, promoting diversity, integration, development of innovation. Events, programs and lectures are supported by the Student Union (SU), Campus Activities Council (CAB).

The Office of Student Activities oversees student clubs, organizations, mentorship program, team program for working with international students, organization of orientation weeks (OWL), Commencement Owl program. The department manages the Center for Student Life, student activities on campus, photographs of student IDs, and participates in extracurricular programs in collaboration with various academic departments.

The student union, clubs / organizations, the Campus Council, mentors and alumni are all part of Otis College's rich student experience.

The five-acre main campus is located in Westside, Los Angeles, close to the beach, while Los Angeles and Alumni Studios are in the Creative Corridor in nearby Culver City.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

  • Portfolio - Two options for meeting portfolio requirements starting in Spring 2021. Portfolio publication in SlideRoom.
  • Personal statement - at least 500 words: description of experience, interest in studying art, design.
  • Official transcripts of all colleges and universities attended. International students must provide official translations of the transcripts.
  • English proficiency test. International applicants whose main / native language is not English must take one of three tests recognized by Otis College: TOEFL, IELTS or Pearson Test of English (SAT / ACT scores are not required). Minimum scores:
    • TOEFL ibt - 79;
    • IELTS - 6.5;
    • Pearson test - 58;
    • Duolingo - 105.

Scholarships Otis College of Art and Design

Otis College offers institutional merit-based scholarships to all qualified students, including internationals, based on the quality of the application for admission. No separate scholarship application is required - all students will be considered based on their academic achievements and portfolio review at the time of admission.
