Review about Les Elfes Summer camp

Katerina Anisimova
(28.08.2023)
Everything was great; Katya came back thrilled. She only arrived in Moscow yesterday after spending another week in Switzerland. I would like to specifically mention that the German lessons were very well organized. They were purposely taken to a school, and the classes were held in actual classrooms. The small group size was also a plus. As I understood, other languages were just an addition to the other entertainment. Therefore, I can confidently recommend the camp for German lessons, despite being in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. I would also like to note: children need to arrange special insurance that covers active sports, similar to skiing. Activities such as water jumps, paragliding, Tarzan swings, surfing, etc., are not covered by regular insurance. There were many specifically sports-oriented activities. Children from other countries, with regular insurance, skipped some activities. Well, ours, of course, didn't worry about these "details."

Our daughter went abroad for the first time, so we didn't have specific expectations. Our primary goal was for her to immerse herself in an English-speaking environment to instill a love for a foreign language. It was pleasing to know that Sofia enjoyed the program, with the hiking and horseback riding activities being the most memorable for her. Regarding the meals, we didn't have specific requests, but I can note that there was a variety to choose from at the buffet, allowing every child to select what they liked. Thanks for this recommendation! I hope to combine studying in winter and attend the winter session to celebrate New Year in Switzerland.

We are writing to express our heartfelt appreciation for the exceptional experience our child had at Les Elfes Summer Camp in Switzerland. The camp surpassed all our expectations, and we wanted to share our glowing feedback with you. From the moment we enrolled our child in Les Elfes Camp, the communication and support from the staff were remarkable. The pre-camp preparations and information provided were thorough and reassuring, making us feel confident about our child's summer adventure. The variety of activities at Les Elfes was truly impressive. From adventurous mountain excursions and thrilling sports to creative arts and team-building activities, our child was engaged and excited about each day's program. The well-balanced schedule ensured a mix of fun, education, and personal growth. The camp counselors and instructors were outstanding. Their passion, dedication, and expertise in guiding the campers through the activities were evident. They created a warm and supportive environment, fostering a sense of camaraderie among the campers. The emphasis on education and skill development at Les Elfes was commendable. Our child had the opportunity to participate in language classes, cultural workshops, and environmental awareness programs. The educational experiences added a valuable dimension to the overall camp adventure. As parents, we were impressed by the safety measures and attentive supervision provided by the camp staff. The well-structured activities and responsible guidance gave us peace of mind throughout the camp duration. The camp's facilities and accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained, providing a safe and enjoyable stay for the campers. One of the most cherished aspects of Les Elfes Camp was the multicultural environment. Our child made friends from all over the world, creating lasting connections and broadening their global perspective. Thank you for organizing such an outstanding camp, and we wholeheartedly recommend Les Elfes to other families seeking an enriching, safe, and unforgettable summer program for their children.

Les Elfes in Switzerland, in Verbier, a disgusting place! And the company that sent us there actually does not bear any responsibility and only misinforms when buying the Camp does not correspond to its price and content. 1. Camp counselors communicate like robots! No personal involvement, support for children who miss home, the answer to everything is "drink some water", "go to sleep", "everything is ok". The daughter sobbed in the morning and in the evening, they pretended that "everything is ok." 2. There is no system of adaptation, there is no psychologist and doctor! Children miss home, and they just say "it will pass". No kind emotional communication. 3. Different rules for everyone, they take away everyone's phones and do not allow them to call home, the phone is 2 hours a day, and one girl was left with a phone because she does not speak English well. My daughter was crying, asked to call her mother for 5 minutes, they didn't give her rudely and said "go drink some water" from the tap 4. The food is very simple and not healthy (sandwiches, chips) Water is poured from the tap. They put water with lemon only when they know that their parents will come. Hypocrisy in everything. 5. When the children went camping, they were told to buy bottles for 30 francs if they didn't have their own water bottle! We did not have a bottle in the list of necessary things from the company! And if the child did not buy a bottle with the logtip of the camp, he had nothing to drink from 6. From severe stress and tears, my daughter had a stomachache and she was told again "drink water, go to sleep" when the pain was unbearable, they gave paracetamol. 7. My daughter is very sociable, she quickly made friends and they supported each other, but the support and participation of adults on the 4th day the stress was already so great that I had to pick up the child. The company that sent shrugs its shoulders, and does not bear any responsibility

Dear Anna, We appreciate your clarity and openness in expressing your experiences, and we regret that you and your daughter had to face similar challenges in the camp. It is important to note that in past years we have received extremely positive feedback about this camp, which allowed us to confidently recommend it to our clients. Naturally, we will not do this in the future. In conclusion, we apologize for the stress and frustration you and your daughter have experienced. Yours sincerely, Smapse Education

(review about the summer camp Les Elfes Summer camp)

A wonderful summer camp for any child and teenager - they have already traveled twice (daughters 10 and 14 years old).

A very well-developed program: parents can receive a daily schedule by e-mail and discuss with the administration what the children will do. Education is completely stress-free: it seems that after lunch the children have already forgotten that in the morning they were sitting in class - however, there is progress in English due to immersion and language environment.

The camp is located in an incredibly beautiful place, a real mountain fairy tale: this is how you imagine Switzerland in advertising brochures, so it is here!

It is good that there are a lot of foreign guys. You can get to know the whole world like this. Very good conditions for living - almost a five-star hotel (and the European "five"), a variety of food in the canteens, barbecues, picnics, trips to urban restaurants.
