Winter camp Les Elfes offers foreign students several winter sessions. Duration of studying varies from 1 to 2 weeks. The camp for international students is open for 8 - 18 years. An addition to the language lessons here is the winter activity. Skiing, snowboarding, flat skiing and much more are offered to beginners and experienced junior athletes.
Camp educational process includes also an extensive cultural program. During the winter sessions in camps in Switzerland , foreign students can take part in many local events. Children and teenagers are given the opportunity to celebrate the Catholic and Orthodox Christmas, the New Year in the European and Chinese calendar, the carnival (akin to the Brazilian, takes place on January 28), the completion of the Freeride World Tour (the final takes place in Verbier), Easter. A bright holiday will be the closing of the ski season at the Swiss resort. A bit of history
- The camp Les Elfes International Verbier has been functioning since 1987. The resort of Verbier, known throughout the world, has become the main base of Les Elfes
- There was built its own campus with 140 beds and sports playgrounds in 1995.
- Five years later, in 2000, the school opened a new campus in Crans-Montana with 50 beds. Also Les Elfes purchased a new camp in La Tzoumaz (ski resort of La Tzuma), also known as North Verbier with a new building with a capacity of 60 students at the boarding house.
Taking into account all the above camps, the school has a total capacity of 250 beds for international students during each season (spring, summer and winter).
5000 students per year
In 1987, the school welcomed 500 students a year, and is now pleased to receive more than 5,000 foreign students from more than 50 countries per year, as well as around 200 international schools that participate in one of the many programs offered by Les Elfes.
The head office is located in Verbier outside the main campus, there are a total of 100 employees working in various fields, especially in the summer.

Accommodation, meals, prices
Winter Camp Les Elfes offers full board accommodation. The residences are in the center of Verbier resort. Boys and girls live separately. Students live in triple rooms. Facilities are designed for several apartments.
In general, in the residence also there is a dining room, a kitchen, a recreation room, a cozy living room, a games room, a computer center.

Subjects and sports
Activities Les Elfes International Verbier Winter camp for children
Extracurricular program is primarily winter sports. In the resort the whole season is snowy. The school offers winter sports training in an intercultural environment. Students of all ages are offered 3 - 6 hours of sports every day, except Sundays. The most popular in the camp are snowboarding and ski lessons. Also, foreign students can learn how to drive a sleigh on downhill slopes, skate.
Sports programs are divided into levels. Beginners ride on special gentle slopes. Classes are held in mini-groups under the guidance of an instructor. Training takes about a week. At the end of the course beginners can confidently stand on skis or snowboard, ride on the main trails of the Verbier zone.
Snowboarders and skiers of the middle level are also offered a specialized program. For them, there are briefings, demo lessons. Blue and red descents are available in the Verbier zone for mid-level athletes. At the end of the course skiers are allowed to ski on the black slopes.
A dynamic recreation awaits the athletes of the advanced level. For them the most difficult trails of the skiing area are open. In classes with an instructor, athletes can learn new elements, for example, threading techniques or dynamic short turns.
The excursion part of the program in Verbier includes many directions and routes. For international students, one excursion is provided for a full day a week and a few for half a day. Guests of Switzerland can visit a chocolate factory and a cheese factory, churches, museums, see the splendor of winter Geneva, get to know more closely with Zurich.
You will not be bored on campus either. For foreign students are organized evening entertainment. Their format can be different, from a barbecue to a theatrical show.

Sports program
Short information: the program is part of every language course. The students choose the sports direction at their own discretion.
About the course. The sports program is extremely diverse. It includes:
Skiing. Skating is offered on the routes at an altitude of 1500-3300 m in 4 valleys. On the day, students attend 6 classes: 3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon.
Snowboard. Skating is almost without rules and restrictions. Training is conducted by experienced instructors. On the day, 6 lessons are offered, divided into two equal blocks.
Karting on the ice - driving along the ice path in a specially designated place for this. Classes are coundected with an instructor for 6 hours a day. Students of intermediate level of preparation and advanced carters can take part in amateur competitions.
Ice climbing. The direction is available for older students. On the route, the work of the group is supervised by experienced instructors.
Other areas. On campus of winter camp a wide range of all-season sports is offered: swimming, squash, hockey, figure skating, curling and others.
