Alpadia Engelberg (Summer Camp Alpadia Engelberg) - a prestigious institution for students, located in Switzerland in the commune Engelberg. English language + leisure & activities

  • Age: 10 to 17 years
  • Duration: 2 to 5 weeks
  • Level: any, from beginner.

The program is designed for students from any country in the world with any level of language skills, starting from elementary. Duration is determined according to the need and can be 2, 3, 4 or 5 weeks. Three different types of courses are available:

  • Standard. 20 lessons per week, three hours a day in small groups.
  • Intensive. 25 lessons per week, bias on the development of communication skills and various group projects.
  • Standard + Private (standard with individual lessons). 20 group sessions + 5 individual sessions per week (45 minutes each). Accent on complex topics and issues, individual help and support.

Lessons are held in small groups, which allows paying maximum attention to each student and explaining all the issues that cause difficulties. Classes are built around the main sections of linguistics:

  • Grammar and vocabulary
  • Listening
  • Reading
  • Letter
  • Oral speech.

Particular attention is paid to the skills of communication and communication, the ability to correctly use the language in everyday life. Fast and high-quality progress is facilitated by a unique system of full immersion - children constantly practice English not only in class, but also during extracurricular activities. Teachers have exceptionally high level of qualification and are able to find an individual approach to each stuednt, help to discover and develop their talents. The timetable is made in such a way that student can study and rest. Lessons usually take place from morn till lunchtime from Monday to Friday, and the afternoons are devoted to sports, creativity, and in the evenings various events are organized on the campus. Excursions are usually held on Saturday (half day) and Sunday (full day). In each lesson, time is allocated for discussing current affairs and events, which further expands the horizons and communication skills.

In general, thanks to the high quality of the programs and the professionalism of the teachers, the level of the language rises and the most important communication skills, interactions in everyday life in the English-speaking society develop.

German language + leisure & activities

  • Age: 10 to 17 years
  • Duration: 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 weeks
  • Level: any, from beginner.

The summer camp with the German language is designed for children aged 10 to 17 years with any level of knowledge. Participants on arrival at the camp undergo a test to determine the level and are assigned to the appropriate groups. The length of the course depends on the needs and preferences: you can fully learn and relax for 1 week, or you can enjoy a summer adventure lasting a whole month. Children - both in the camp, and during events and field trips - are always under supervision, employees 100% guarantee security. Teaching German is conducted at an exceptional level: all teachers are highly qualified and have extensive experience working with foreign students and children. There are three courses offered:

1. Standard:

  • 3 hours of lessons per day
  • 20 lessons per week
  • Small in number groups

2. Intensive:

  • 25 lessons per week
  • Active development of communication skills
  • Complex group projects

3. Integrated "Standard course + Individual lessons":

  • 20 lessons per week in a group
  • 5 lessons 1 on 1 with the teacher
  • Maximum support and assistance on complex issues
  • Individualized system of skills development.

Training is conducted in small groups, which allows you to devote a lot of time to each student and explain many difficult topics and questions (you can also choose a course with additional individual lessons, which greatly expands opportunities). Classes are conducted according to a special methodology and include the main sections of linguistics + special modules:

  • Grammar, vocabulary
  • Written speech
  • Oral speech
  • Listening
  • Reading
  • Active communication and communication skills
  • Language in everyday life
  • German for special purposes.

Rapid progress is achieved, among other things, by a system of full language immersion - children communicate around the clock in German: in class, and during events, excursions. Classes are held in the morning hours (from Monday to Friday), after-dinner and evening time is devoted to extra-curricular activities, sports, creativity, on weekends there are guided tours and trips. In the classroom, the children discuss the current affairs, the places they visited, share their impressions of what they saw - this helps them to build their speech correctly and clearly state their thoughts.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Students are accommodated in the rooms located in the same building as the classrooms. The premises are very spacious and comfortable: the students live in single or double rooms with the necessary set of furniture, appliances and a washbasin. The bathrooms are shared and are located on each floor.

Meals are arranged on the principle of a full board, different diets and special plans are available.
