The Irish School of Ecumenics (ISE) is a world-renowned centre for ecumenical research, education and debate. Founded in 1976, ISE is part of Trinity College Dublin and offers research seminars, lectures and symposia on topics as diverse as human rights, peace studies, global ethics and faith-based reconciliation. ISE provides a platform to promote dialogue between religious traditions, between different ideologies. As part of the Faculty of Theology at Trinity College Dublin, ISE promotes interdisciplinary learning by bringing together people from a variety of disciplines, including law, anthropology, political science, and theology.

Things to know about

In 2001, ISE was officially integrated into Trinity College, in 2016 ISE moved from Jesuit Milltown Park to the campus of Trinity College Dublin. In 2008, ISE acquired the Columbanus Centre on Antrim Road, which became ISE's base in Belfast.

The school is located in Dublin and Belfast and consists of eight full-time full-time faculty, visiting faculty, graduate students, and administrative staff. ISE has 82 Masters of Philology, 39 Doctors of Philosophy and Masters of Literature.

Scholarships are available for graduate students and for research projects related to the discipline in which ISE specializes. Scholarships are provided to support students from different countries who can contribute to the world order, the search for justice, human rights, intercultural dialogue and sustainable development. Certain financial support is also available to international students who are unable to attend ISE due to their financial circumstances.

The scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses during the period of study, some travel expenses related to research activities, additionally includes opportunities for additional education such as conferences, seminars and courses in order to increase the student's level of knowledge.
