Education in Frankfurt - about the city and its advantages for foreign students

Studying in Frankfurt will give inspiration and motivation for foreign students thanks to the amazing culture of the city. Frankfurt is a global city, and is considered an important center for the economic system of the world. It is a center of commerce, culture, education and tourism with a population of 732 thousand people. Many compare Frankfurt with Manhattan or Chicago for its manufacturability and modernity, however, unlike American cities, it is not built of glass and concrete - there are picturesque areas in which Germany appears in all its glory. The architecture of the city is so picturesque that it can easily be mistaken for objects of historical heritage, but there are no buildings older than 50 years in the city. Destroyed almost completely during World War II, the city was lovingly rebuilt, and today it pleases locals and visitors with its elegant buildings, a modern bank district and numerous museums. Studying in Frankfurt: Bachelor's and Master's degree

Studying in Frankfurt for foreign students is represented by excellent educational institutions with a worldwide reputation - it is no coincidence that Germany takes first place among foreign students in the continental part of Europe:

  • The country has a large number of high-quality English-language programs in the most popular specialties, in addition, most courses require a mandatory internship
  • University students often find a part-time job, and graduates may try to extend a visa to find work in their specialty and stay in Germany
  • The German educational system is characterized by a low cost of studying at state universities (in comparison with European average prices)
  • It is a developed and stable country in economic and political terms.
  • The experience that students receive while living in Germany will remain in their memory for a long time. This is a country with a rich culture, interesting architecture and art.

Bachelor's programs consist of two main stages: on the first, students receive fundamental knowledge in the main subjects for two years, pass intermediate exams, and on the second they study special subjects in-depth. In a private university, study will cost about 5,000 euros per term.

Studying in Frankfurt for international students

Education in Frankfurt for students is a promising area that will allow you to get in-depth knowledge and a prestigious certificate. In the city, prestigious private boarding schools have been opened, in which children study and are placed in comfortable conditions and are easier to adapt to the new environment.

In the country, secondary education can be obtained in several types of schools:

  • Gymnasiums
  • Real schools
  • Main schools.

In the primary grades, children study according to one system and gain general knowledge in mathematics, language, music and local history, but from the 5th grade, children are divided into the above types of schools and study in accordance with their intellectual abilities.

But only graduation will allow you to pass the Abitur exam and go to university. Frankfurt's private schools invite students from all over the world to quality programs that have gained worldwide recognition. So, the International Baccalaureate course will be a great choice, but the cost of studying for this program is high.

The middle class program can be held in German (from 25 thousand euros), and the British courses GCSE and A-Level (from 9,000 euros per trimester).

TOP-3 programs for students after grades 10 and 11:

It is recommended to start acquaintance with the new educational system from short-term directions. So, the doors of language camps open in schools and universities - starting from 9 years old, summer schools are waiting for everyone who wants to have a good rest and take a foreign language to a new level. The program includes a language component and an entertainment part. For example, the leading language school Sprachcaffe Frankfurt, invites students over 12 years old to quality and diverse courses. Depending on the student’s goals, the chosen program and its “filling”, prices for such courses can vary from 2,000 euros for 2 weeks.

For high school students, it is worth considering a program before entering a university - Studeinkolleg. The level of knowledge of foreign students is slightly lower than that required at German universities, because such programs allow to quickly, efficiently catch up with the program. With a sufficiently powerful academic preparation, this course does not imply language classes. Students who have reached the age of 17 can study at the program, and the cost starts at 2,340 euros.

Another option is Foundation program: as a rule, the course includes academic English classes, learning the basics of specialized subjects. Students will be able to properly prepare for study at the university and as a result, they will easily enter the bachelor's program. Studying will cost about 10-17,000 euros.
