Harrow Independent College (HIC) is a Sixth Form Mathematics, Science and Economics College located in the heart of Harrow, London.

HIC believes that personal attention is the hallmark of a successful college. The college has an average class size of 6 to 8 students, plus each student is allocated a personal tutor. HIC strives to stimulate independent inquiry and intellectual curiosity by developing a sense of individuality and leadership skills, which is achieved within the framework of a sound discipline based on the moral values of the modern UK community.

During the education, students find themselves in a warm atmosphere where students are in a friendly relationship with teachers based on mutual trust and respect.

HIC prides itself on providing time and opportunity for all students to take part in extracurricular activities such as buffets, outdoor parties, holiday events, quizzes, discussion evenings, competitions and other cultural events.

There are a number of sports and leisure facilities in the immediate vicinity of the college, such as the Harrow Sports and Leisure Centre and the Ruislip Leisure Centre.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

HIC selects students for A-Levels courses according to the following criteria:

  • The student must have grades between A* and C in GCSE exams (5 subjects).
  • Mathematics and English at a level of at least 3.0.
  • If a student is not proficient in Maths and English, they can still enrol in the course, however, they must pass/retake the GCSE Maths and English exam and must obtain a minimum grade of C in order to take a two-year full-time A-Level course.
