Aristocratic, prestigious, elite Gordonstoun International Summer School (GISS) was founded in 1934 (summer courses started in 1975). Today, more than 280 students from 40 countries come here annually.
Gordonstone International Summer School is located in the northern part of Scotland, in the small town of Elgin near the North Sea coast. Aberdeen Airport can be reached in 2 hours by transport, and to Iversness Airport in just an hour.
The ratio of students to teaching staff is only 2:1, so each student receives enough attention and concern from the teaching staff.
Prior to enrolling in the language schools in Scotland, all international students undergo general testing, which determines their language level - you can do with any preparation, from the initial and almost zero to fairly advanced. At the end of the course each student receives a corporate certificate indicating all achievements and the acquired level of English.
