AVERAGE CLASSES

International Baccalaureate (IB)

The final two-year program is designed for students aged 17-18 (11-12 grades), taught in English (you can choose a French-language version or bilingual (bilingual) course).

The curriculum of each student includes 6 disciplines: 3 of them are studied at a standard level of complexity, 3 - on a more in-depth, advanced. For observance of the academic balance, all available subjects are divided into discipline groups - it is enough to choose one discipline from each block:

  • Foreign Language - A (French, Spanish, English, Russian, German, Italian) + literature in selected language
  • Foreign Language - B (English, Italian, Spanish, German, French)
  • Humanities (history, economics, geography)

Every summer, Ecole Nouvelle de la Suisse Romande Lausanne conducts professional summer camp programs for children and adolescents from 9 to 18 years old. Preparing for the DELF exam

The DELF Diplôme d'Etudes de Langue Française vocational French preparation course is conducted in two programs depending on the level of language proficiency (level A1 and level A2). The course lasts for 4 weeks and includes 88 lessons (45 minutes each), which are conducted using a special unique technique. Every week, students perform special tests to assess the opportunities and problem areas, to adjust the curriculum. At the end of the course, students can register at the specialized center DELF and take the exam. The lessons are complemented by active extra-curricular life and leisure.

Some sports activities are paid extra.

Kindergarten

  • The term of study is three years.

Education in kindergarten takes place according to the French-English Montessori program. Montessori pedagogy contributes to the all-round development of the child, respecting the rhythm and individuality of each of them. The curriculum includes the study of the basics of English and French, writing, mathematics, graphics, environment, art and psychomotor skills. The learning process is based on a game that promotes communication between children and adults, the development of motor skills and speaking.

The kindergarten is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Children are given the opportunity to attend classes throughout the week or only in the morning. If the child attends classes in the morning, then the price of the program is 80% of the declared one.

Grade school

Primary school students are taught in a bilingual environment with equal use of French and English. Starting from the fourth grade, a third language, German, is added to the curriculum.

The program is based on natural sciences and humanities, mathematics, arts and physical education. In the learning process, students are allowed to use a computer, tablet and multimedia tools to search for information, create projects and team work on research. Classes in the classroom are held in the format of communication between the teacher and students: setting the topic and the main question, finding a solution to the problem and voicing theories. Students have the opportunity to express their opinions, constructively challenge and argue their opinions, while friendliness and mutual respect always reign in the classroom.

Foreign students of the fourth grade gradually begin to prepare for the Cambridge exams in English. They will need knowledge for further education, and the certificate will help them move to the middle classes and study in the older ones.

Ski camp

  • Age - from 7 to 18 years,
  • The duration of training is a week.

Since its inception, the institution has made sports one of the main areas of study. Ski camps, which are organized every winter, provide children of primary and middle, high school with the opportunity to try themselves in this sport.

  • Ski camp for primary school

It is held in Saanenmozero. 42 children between the ages of 7 and 9 from any institution – not just ENSR – are admitted to the classes. They are offered skiing lessons and other winter activities during the day under the guidance of professionals. Participants of the ski course are divided into groups of six people so that teachers can give care and attention to each of the pupils.

The cost of the program includes accommodation and meals, transport, ski pass, ski lessons and all activities.

  • Ski camp for middle and high school students

Organizes classes in the ski resort of Leysen. With a maximum capacity of 80 people, this camp is open to students in grades 5 to 12, that is, between the ages of 10 and 18. The program offers all-day skiing lessons for all levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced and competition preparation).

Participants in this snow camp will be divided into groups of no more than 10 students.

The camp is also open to students who do not attend the Ecole Nouvelle. The price of the course includes meals, accommodation, transportation, ski pass, ski lessons, evening activities and round-the-clock supervision.

Windsurfing Camp

  • Age - from 11 to 19 years,
  • The training period is two weeks.

Vacation windsurfing lessons are held in different countries from year to year. Since the opening of this program, course participants have visited the south of France, the Antilles in the Netherlands, the Canary Islands in Spain, Egypt, Greece, Italy.

During these windsurfing camps, students are introduced to an exciting sport and other beach holiday options such as kayaking or volleyball. Students will also attend several cultural excursions and a variety of other activities. Unlike regular sports at school, students get an unforgettable experience of living in a foreign country. 

Accommodation, meals, prices

On the spacious picturesque campus (a total area of ​​2.5 hectares) students are offered equipped with comfortable, cozy residences. Students are offered fully furnished and equipped rooms for 2-3 people (high school students can claim a personal bedroom).

Eating in Ecole Nouvelle de la Suisse Romande Lausanne is also organized on the full board basis - the diet is varied, balanced, tasty, fully covering the needs of adolescents. In 2014 the school was awarded the FourchetteVerte high award for the most healthy and varied food for its pupils. Fresh vegetables and fruits are always present on the table, low-fat nutritious soups and hot dishes, yogurts, cheeses, tasty and low-calorie desserts.
