The standard A-level program is considered to be the basis for university education. After graduation, applicants get the right to enter the university without additional examinations.

The saturation of the curricula and the small number of studied sciences give the future student the opportunity to gain knowledge of the specialty and practical skills. A-level is characterized by thoroughness and depth of preparation. In the first academic year, students examine four subjects. The second year of education at the A-level requires knowledge in three disciplines. When choosing, it is necessary to take into account academic balance and not to take thematically related sciences.

Charterhouse school continues to divide the subjects into main and optional GCSE programs. The most important courses include history, the foundations of political science, economics, geographical knowledge, mathematics, Greek, religious studies, theater, chemistry, technology and design, physics, biology, cultural studies (classical), history, business, music, English literature, Latin. Auxiliary courses provide for the study of a foreign language and the ability to think critically. Fine arts are also included in the list of courses that are studied additionally. The Charterhouse school considers German, Spanish or French as the basic foreign language.

Review about Charterhouse school

Krivosheinys
(01.01.1970)

We have long been looking for a good English school for our daughter (16 years old), but recently realized that it is quite difficult to understand British education: prices, living conditions, leisure, living - everything required close attention. There fore, my husband addressed SMAPSE.

We were offered several options, and we chose the school Charterhouse (it is in Surrey). The most interesting thing was that it was not particularly expensive than in some other private schools. The school provides comfortable studying and living conditions, serious requirements for admission. After school students enter the university. Children are always engaged in something. Our daughter, for example, was carried away by hockey on the grass.
