Carlsbad International School is an international boarding school in the Czech Republic. The boarding school is located in the spa town of Karlovy Vary close to a major traffic junction, which provides an opportunity to quickly reach the school and from the campus to any part of the resort, as well as to other tourist cities in the Czech Republic.

The program provides receiving of deep knowledge in 6 disciplines:

The IB course is divided into thematic stages. Annually students are offered to the cornerstone theme, which placies emphasis on all classes. In the 9th grade, the priority is the methodology of science. In 10 - the law, freedom, democracy. In 11th grade subjects of all courses are experiments, observations, ideas, the history of science is also considered. In the 12th grade, the emphasis is on argumentation and a critical approach to any information.
Pre-IB preparatory program is aimed at children aged 14-16 who wish to enroll in an international baccalaureate course in the upper grades.
The program lasts 1-2 years, depending on how much the student needs to tighten the language and academic skills in English.
The main areas of study are:
- English language + English literature;
- Language integration and confidence in the use of language in everyday life;
- Humanitarian subjects: history, geography, business, economics, religion, citizenship, the state;
- Scientific subjects: physics, chemistry, biology, geology, astronomy;

In addition to the main programs at Carlsbad International School, an elective course is offered, targeting students with specific interests and hobbies. Its directions are:

Summer courses in CAMP CARLSBAD are designed for 1-5 weeks. The combined program is divided into three blocks:
- Morning;
- Afternoon;
- Evening.
The morning block includes English lessons, where students study grammar, supplement their vocabulary, practice reading and writing skills, and fluency in speech. Particular attention is paid to the production of pronunciation, literacy of oral speech. Also in the morning block students are offered classes of golf, tennis under the guidance of experienced instructors. During the Karlovy Vary Film Festival, children can take part in cultural events.
The day program block includes active rest aimed at developing physical skills and improving students. The choice of directions for adolescents is very large. In CAMP CARLSBAD you can do football, volleyball, badminton, basketball, swimming, hiking, rock climbing, cycling. Creative persons are offered courses in painting, photography, classes in a dance studio.
Evening entertainment (parties, discos, shows, competitions, etc.) in the school contribute to the development of English skills, providing for the social interaction of students. In an informal setting, adolescents practice the skills they have acquired in their English classes and consolidate their knowledge.
Twice a week there are organized excursions for students to get acquainted with the sights of the Czech Republic.

Review about Carlsbad International School
After the 9th grade, the child was transferred to the Czech Republic to an international baccalaureate (although it took a year to prepare in Russia). We chose the price-quality combination first and foremost, and we heard that Czech schools and universities are very good. There is no pathos, as in England or Switzerland, the quality of education is excellent, children from all over Europe.
While we are satisfied with everything, we and our daughter! Note equipment - almost everything in children is now electronic, in a computer. It’s a little pity that they write less with their own hands (nobody canceled motor memory), but don’t carry kilograms of textbooks, we can look at academic records or information about future excursions, some photos from a football match, and other educational materials at any time they are available, it turns out, in fact, around the clock. Present, what can you do. :))
The school in Karlovy Vary stands very well: a small city (by our Russian standards), but developed, rich, many interesting restaurants, walking places, well, all these healing springs, you can go to the baths, to the promenade - in general, on weekends children a lot of fun from the city.

I study at the school Carlsbad International School on program IB: it's something like a special preparation for the university. I chose studying at the Czech universities with my parents. It provides high quality education and a prestigious diploma, there is a very low cost of studying. Studying in such beautiful and cozy country is very comfortable.
My school is located in the resort of Karlovy Vary: it's like a national health resort, so we have a lot of tourists in the summer.
I like that besides lessons and language courses in English there are additional courses: special classes for the development of thinking, argumentation, they teach to form their point of view and defend it, there are special lessons for preparing and conducting presentations, research papers, etc. At the university, all it's quite useful, so I'm glad that we learn this in advance.
