Campbell College is located in the capital of Northern Ireland, Belfast. It was founded in 1894 by philanthropist Henry James Campbell and includes a preparatory school and gymnasium for high school.

It is considered to be one of the leading international schools in Ireland: the list of graduates who have achieved success in the field of politics, economics, sports or military path takes more than a dozen pages. Today, the college has more than 1200 boys from 4 to 18 years old.

Sixth Form

The school proceeds from the idea that the experience of Sixth Form students is not limited to the results of final exams. Campbell College strives to encourage qualities such as self-discipline, responsibility for one's education, and ambition.

The school also offers a range of BTEC qualifications, including business, sports and hospitality; they can be studied separately or as part of a mixed program of A-Levels and BTEC.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Boarding students live in a modern and safe dormitory with spacious and comfortable rooms for 2-3 people with amenities in the room. The building is equipped with a lounge room, a kitchen for self-heating and cooking, a laundry room with washing machines and dryers. Stable Wi-Fi coverage is provided throughout the campus.

Students of the boarding house are provided with hot meals 3 times a day, 7 days a week; full-time students have lunch at school.

Facilities and equipment at Campbell College

The total area of the campus located on the eastern outskirts of Belfast exceeds 100 acres; it is located on the outskirts of Belfast on the edge of a forest, in an authentic Victorian-era red brick building.

Classrooms are equipped with the latest technology. Each class has:

  • Wireless Internet access point;
  • Stationary computers with access to the internal network of the school;
  • Projection equipment and interactive whiteboards.

Students can use the modern library, equipped with comfortable chairs and tables, where in a calm and friendly atmosphere schoolchildren can use the rich funds (over 15 thousand publications), play board games or go online.

In addition, the library has:

  • 6 computers;

  • Binding, binding and laminating devices.

A medical centre is open during the day.

Admission dates and extra charges

The tuition fee includes all electives, textbooks and workbooks, meals, laundry services and basic medical expenses.

When enrolling, parents must make a deposit of £ 1500; this amount will be included in the cost of the last year of schooling.

School classes begin with registration with a personal tutor at 8:40, where children receive individual recommendations and a schedule of extracurricular activities. Lessons of 55 minutes each begin at 9:00 and end at 15:30, after which the children go to electives. Breaks last for 10 minutes, lunch break - 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Enrolment process

To collect applications, the college uses an online portal on the OpenApply platform. This electronic document management system is designed to save parents' time and keep the entire process under control, from the initial application to registration.

First, you need to create an account with a unique name and password. Then you should send an application and attach to it all the necessary documents, including:

  • Copies of the last two reports with marks;
  • A copy of the birth certificate, passport and passports of parents (official representatives);
  • A certificate from the current school.

In case of an affirmative decision, the school will offer to take an online English test, visit the school with an informal visit or conduct an interview online.

To enter the Sixth Form, you must meet three criteria that guarantee sufficient training to master the program:

  1. compliance of the student's chosen GCSE subjects with an accessible schedule,
  2. a minimum of 6 GCSE A+-C exams, including English and Mathematics,
  3. a minimum of 10 points for GCSE.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

Admission requirements differ in junior and high school.

  1. In primary school, the school is non-selective, there are no entrance tests, and children are enrolled in the order of application. Nevertheless, the school administration insists on the need for an informal meeting with the child and his parents before admission.
  2. Admission to high school is based on the selection criteria and entrance tests, interviews.

Foreigners must have a guardian permanently residing in the UK or Ireland. The guardian is responsible for accommodation outside the college during the holidays, during illness or for other reasons. Upon request, the college offers a list of guardianship agencies.

Scholarships Campbell College

  • Scholarship with means test. It is awarded to students who demonstrate serious academic abilities and potential, whose families for one reason or another do not have the opportunity to pay for tuition.
  • Scholarships for merits in the academic, sports or creative field. This type of scholarship is not related to need and serves as a means of encouraging academic achievement. Scholarships can cover up to 50% of the cost of tuition at each stage of high school. Fellows also receive school honours;
  • Fully covered scholarship. Each year, the college offers a minimum of one scholarship to eighth-grade students. This scholarship is valid until the end of the study (subject to sufficient academic performance) and covers 100% of the costs (+ 10% for pocket expenses).
