Summer Camp Pembroke College is held in the prestigious and elite school in Oxford. Pembroke College was founded in 1624 by King James I and is today considered one of the best educational institutions in the UK. The coat of arms of the school visually reflects the connection between England and Scotland: it is a rose and a thistle, united over three lions, symbols of the Earl of Pembroke. Like many other schools in Britain, initially the college was exclusively a male boarding house - the girls were able to study here only in 1979.

SUMMER COURSE OF LEADERSHIP

  • Age of students: 16-18 years
  • Dates: July 3-August 14 (arrivals for 2, 4 or 6 weeks)
  • Cost: 1520 £ / week.

An ideal opportunity to sharpen not only linguistic knowledge, but also leadership qualities, to prepare for successful further study and career building! The knowledge gained at the summer leadership course at Pembroke College will help students to work more efficiently and become successful in any field they choose for themselves.

Classes on the course will be devoted to the following topics:

  • development of public speaking skills, speaking skills
  • leadership skills + ability to work in a team, team building
  • effective time management
  • distribution and ranking of tasks
  • theoretical seminars: international tourism, law and policy, UN model, journalism and media, marketing and management, modern technologies.

The intensity of the classes is 28 hours per week, the classes do not exceed 11 people. The program includes both theoretical lectures and seminars, as well as interesting interactive workshops, discussions and master classes. Note that the course is not suitable for beginners: all applicants must demonstrate knowledge of English from B2 (Intermediate and above).

Accommodation, meals, prices

Students of summer courses live in the residence of Pembroke College in cozy, fully furnished private rooms (bathrooms shared: 1 bathroom for 4-6 people) - boys and girls live separately. Students are provided with free access to WiFi, free laundry and bed linen, board meals, and computer classes for independent work and research.

Activities Pembroke College Summer Camp

Extra-curricular program helps students to learn and additionally practice in English - communication in a live, immediate environment helps to quickly improve communication and speech skills. At the end of the program students will receive a solemn closing ceremony with personal certificates and certificates, as well as a gala dinner at Oxford University.

Facilities and equipment at Pembroke College Summer Camp

The campus of the school is located on the banks of the Thames, just a mile from the center of Oxford in the territory of the building of Sir Geoffrey Arthur: it is an idyllic, pastoral area with a huge number of attractions, architectural and cultural monuments. Also near the school you can find all the necessary urban infrastructure: shops, banks and pharmacies, cozy cafes and restaurants for recreation and socializing with new friends.

With the students there are always teachers and administrators, and access to the case of Sir Geoffrey Arthur is provided only by electronic keys - you can be absolutely sure of the safety and comfort of the student.

Admission dates and extra charges

A week stay in the summer camp costs £ 1,520: shifts are held from July 3 to August 14 (for 2, 4 or 6 weeks). This price already includes:

  • education on the program (28 hours weekly)
  • Initial testing of the level of knowledge, a registered firm certificate after graduation
  • textbooks, books and materials
  • accommodation and meals (residence, private rooms, full board - including lunch boxes during trips and excursions)
  • transfer on time
  • laundry service weekly
  • free access to WiFi
  • excursion, leisure and entertainment program: weekly - at least 2 excursions for the whole day and 1 for several hours
  • Welcome information package, corporate bracelet and backpack
  • basic tourist insurance.

The school organizes a free group transfer, seeing-off and meetings of students at Gatwick and Heathrow airports from 10 to 22 hours. The indicated cost is not included and is paid additionally:

  • Registration fee
  • Additional academic and language classes (optional)
  • Additional leisure activities and excursions (optional)
  • Air tickets in both directions
  • Transfer in both directions (at an unspecified time)
  • Compulsory medical insurance
  • Personal pocket expenses
  • Visa fees and services, translation and certification of documents
  • Consular fee (paid at the Embassy).
