The University of Applied Sciences of Breda does not have its own student residences, therefore, it recommends that students choose their own housing before starting their studies. The number of students in the city is growing annually, and the number of rented apartments, rooms and houses is not very extensive, so it is better to make reservations in advance.
Activities Breda University of Applied Sciences
Breda University is organizing a special international start for all new foreign students who begin their studies at Breda University of Applied Sciences. Students receive information on practical issues - insurance, municipal, legal, economic: how to open an account with a Dutch bank, how the medical system works, and so on. At the end of the evening, a party is planned in honor of the start of education, acquaintance with fellow students.
Extracurricular activities for foreigners in the Netherlands include walking around the city, boating along canals or lakes, relaxing on the beach, in the forest or among the dunes.
Cultural leisure includes visiting concerts in stadiums and small venues, musicals, a theater, more than 1000 museums.
The Netherlands is also famous for its street festivities on King's Day or during international football championships.

Admission dates and extra charges

- Additional costs range from 400 to 700 euros per year (extracurricular activities, participation in excursions).
Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
Foreign students present upon admission the equivalent of a Dutch diploma of complete general secondary education (havo) or pre-university education (vwo) for admission to BUas study programs. Russian students will need a certificate of completion of preparatory courses or high school of international standard. It is also possible to enroll after the end of the 1st course of an accredited university.
English language requirements:
- CAE (Cambridge Advanced Certificate) or CPE (Certificate of English Proficiency)
- IELTS test (minimum overall score - 6.0)
- TOEFL test (minimum score is 80 iBT).
