Accommodation, meals, prices

On the one hand, Amsterdam compares favorably in terms of cost of living with other European cities and even more so with capitals. On the other hand, the city is relatively small, so there are not very many available options here. Therefore, the university advises to start searching for suitable housing as early as possible.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

For admission to the bachelor's program, first of all, it is necessary to confirm the completion of the course of complete secondary education. It can be:

  • GCSE/IGCSE/A-level: 4 GCSEs (grades A*-C or 9-4) + 2 subjects taken at AS-level (A *-C) OR 2 subjects taken at A-level ( D-E). Among the subjects should be mathematics and English, the results of exams in the native language are not accepted.
  • IB Diploma.
  • The Russian certificate of secondary complete general education (11 classes) is probably direct enrollment.

There are also requirements for the level of English - it can be confirmed:

  • IELTS – from 6.0 (at least 5.5 for each block, at least 6.0 for the "Writing" block),
  • TOEFL IBT - from 80,
  • TOEIC: Listening & Reading 670, Speaking & Writing 290,
  • Cambridge ESOL - 169 (grades A, B and C).

What documents will be required:

  • Completed application,
  • Proof of English proficiency,
  • Official transcripts of academic performance (or certified copies),
  • A copy of the passport or ID,
  • Evidence of financial solvency.

Each candidate undergoes an introductory interview.

Scholarships IC University of Applied Science Amsterdam

Basically, scholarships are offered by Dutch foundations and the Ministry of Education, so they are designed for local citizens. But the university provides discounts if you pay for the course in full / in advance (calculated individually). Scholarships from IC are not offered.
